69 Great staff and great food. Wheelchair accessible with a usable toilet unlike many venues that just pretend to be accessible.
Only negative from our point of view (oldies) is that the hard surfaces are noisy. Many places have the same issue.
One of my best dining experiences, thanks to Peter's excellent service. The food was outstanding, and his perfect recommendations added to the overall enjoyment. Highly recommend.
We celebrated our daughters and a friend’s confirmation here yesterday. From the moment I made the booking we were so incredibly well looked after by warm and competent staff! We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Having eaten here before, we knew the food was good and with a big group they managed it so well. All our guests commented on just how good it was! A big thank-you to management and, most importantly, staff here at Dawson!
I booked on a Monday night as many other restaurants are closed.
What a great choice, lovely ambience, excellent service and the menu offered an extensive range of Italian flavours.
Well worth a visit.
Excellent food, excellent and friendly staff, can be a little loud but the place is worth trying
We have been going to Dawson for years. The food is always great and the standard does not waver from day to day. You can get a booking for 2 people of 8 and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Would recommend for casual dining and family friendly atmosphere. The burrata and flatbread combo is still to die for and the pizzas are very good.
We went for lunch on Mother's Day having seen a chef's recommendation in the paper. We were not disappointed. Great pizza, pasta and yummy sweets. Perfect.
We’re regular visitors here - everything is reliably good; the service, the food and the value. Whether’s it’s a celebratory meal or a Friday night out, Dawson always delivers!
Great food- highly recommend the lamb back strap cooked to perfection. The team were attentive and happily returned many times as we were so caught up in conversation we were slow to order! We didn't feel at all rushed and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered.
A great evening, thanks.
It’s been a struggle finding authentic Italiano pizza in Melbourne … until I walked into Dawson. Lovely wait staff, groovy feel to the place (even on a week night), and wow are those pizzas made fast! And they’re authentic.
Our whole group loved their meals. Excellent cocktails. Clean, modern interior and friendly service. Will definitely be back
Came in for lunch last week! It was amazing! Such a great atmosphere, waiters were fantastic and really went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely experience! Will definitely be coming back soon!
Always great Pizza’s, and great salad too! Free drinks because our order was very slightly late, friendly staff. Go get ‘em!
Had a Xmas function there and it was great. Got a little noisy but there were lots of big groups in for similar celebrations, so it had to be expected. Food was great and service was excellent
We have our weekly business meetings at Dawson for their consistently good coffees, professional staff and quiet atmosphere.
Fantastic little gem in Kew. Simple but delicious food.
I had the swordfish - it was fresh and tender. Great to see zero alcohol/beer options too!
The maitres d' who welcomed us at the door was very impressive and found us a table instantly.
Looking forward to dining there again soon!
Had a great lunch at Dawson on Wednesday. The food and service were excellent. We were a large group and they were most accommodating. The ability to pay individually was really appreciated. Have already booked our next lunch.
The potato pizza was amazing! Not overly salty like the pizzas from other places. The rosemary and cheese on the pizza was a perfect accompaniment to the thin slices of Plato. The pizza base was thin and crispy on the outside. Overall great wood fired pizzas!
The pasta here is also fantastic, the braised beef ragu was so tender and melting in the mouth, the pasta sauce had great flavour.
Fantastic service from the waiters and waitresses, food came out in a timely manner, as it was not busy on a Sunday lunch. Highly recommended!
Good range of food & drinks at reasonable prices. On street parking but there is a free car around the corner
