The food Hall is almost closed and we can't eat there anymore due to vivid. And it's closing end of March 2021. Very sad.

The store is clean cut, I went in looking for Bellroy wallets and the sales staff were more than happy to help me and he was professional sadly they just didn't have the colour of the wallet I wanted which was disappointing but you live and move on that's just the story of life.

Darryl from the men's shoe department was amazing. Clear, concise and very attentive. Easy to understand and patient as well. Give this man an award.

DISCOUNTS! No, seriously, there's a discount going on almost every time! Maybe it's just me, but everytime I'm looking for something, I'll find it here and it's on a massive discount.
Just today, I had to get a laptop/travel bag, found a Herschel bag, and they literally took 60 bucks off the total price!
My trusty umbrella that's fought alongside me against Melbourne's ruthless winds for at least 3 years now, was on sale too.
So yeah, need a tie? C'mere. Need a bag? GET OVA HERE! Need coffee? Yeah, they've got you covered too.
So yeah, I'd shop at David Jones any day over the other one ;)

I went to buy a dress today from the second floor at David Jones and was so impressed by Amy. She was so honest and helpful in the process and gave me such real advice. It was like having my own personal stylist but without the price tag $$$. Will definitely be returning for my next event!

It is very good but for the men who have to buy or accompany women there should be more places to sit and wait.there are not many but the service is very good.

David Jones have certainly changed from being open and transparent to putting very small writing on their Sale Boards. How disgraceful that they do not spell out exclusions and state you need to go to their website for full details of exclusions. This most deceptive to put customers thru this hoop and unfair on their staff to have to apologise as to what is and what is not included. Classic example is Hats and scarfs sale at 25% off plus a further 10% off using their store card. Oh, sorry Helen Kaminski hats are excluded - but you’ll need to spend time to look it up on their website for exclusions! Good luck trying to find exclusions, not easy and not easy on a mobile phone, oh and 10% off using their store card did not apply either!
Why David Jones have you stooped to this low level? And you actually don’t have that many brands of hats on offer and you put your great sale signs on stands and shelves where products/ items are excluded! This is not a mistake on your part, either put a proper sale on or don’t, and keep it simple, fair and transparent

The service is abysmal and the staff are the height of ignorance. In particular the area where they sell sunglasses & shoes. Just chillin’ on my phone but how can I help?

Received an email last week offering a further 10% discount - went to the Bourke Street store, bought the item and was told no discount.we're not part of David Jones. Huh.trading in David Jones.then handed me a receipt with David Jones all over it. Emailed back to David Jones, no response.

We got our product online (Christian Dior Perfume 150ml). It's some struggle with that one because the difference smell and easy to fade. We came to this store and told to the Manager (Gemma). She didn't check our product but she said nothing wrong with our product. She didn't give us any solutions and said "it's not our product" though I had the receipt to prove that i got this online from David Jones.
I feel that she is "Racism", and feel bad about Gemma's behaviour to the customer! I'm not recommended to this store!

I love shopping at David Jones Melbourne store. It is a Melbourne Icon. The sales are always genuine. The merchandise is always excellently presented, the staff is helpful it is not chaotic like some large department stores.
Always pleasant.

Overpriced and gaudy you can get most of the things here at 100 dollars less elsewhere people.only seem to shop here for status reasons.

Melbourne CBD shopping institution. Stylish and I used to be scared to go in because everything looks branded and expensive. Still have branded goods but almost similar range to Myer.
Nice layout and not too cramped.

Great salads, sushi bar, juice bar, champagne bar, hot and cold lunch dishes, coffee teas and sweets. It's all there in the basement opposite the DJ's main store in Bourke street, Melbourne. The salad bar is my fave. Very reasonable pricing and a large selection of healthy fresh salads.

One of the few department store food halls in Australia. Love to stroll through and pick up a few delicacies like dried mini figs and delectable panforte from Italy or Australian bush pepper macadamia.

Love the juice bar at DJ’s Food Hall - the girls are always so lovely & their menu is great.
Pictured here is their ‘Cocoa’ & a delicious flavanoid combo.
(Fun fact: their cups are biodegradable & the straws are paper).

I love a store that sells quality products. The store is organised and has a great selection for myself, hubby and the kids. Also has the best coffee! Bank balance is a little bruised after our almost 3hr visit but you get what you pay for.

Female manager near the menswear concessions was rude to me and my seeing eye dog/guide dog when he had an accident in store. Unacceptable. Customers nearby came to help offering tissues and assistance in cleaning. Unprofessional
