I miss the roast chickens, they were so good, even if the guy that used to serve them was incredibly rude. Now I have to go to Woolies to get my chicken, very disappointed.

Very professional and approachable staff, significantly so when compared to all my city experiences of DJ.

There is both good and bad here when it comes to products and customer service. Most days great and other times, terrible!

Always the best customer service at Malvern David Jones. Certainly worth going to this location over the other stores.

Took my wife today to David Jones to buy a present.was very disappointing experience.
The top she wanted to buy from spotcraft didn't have the right size.
She approached the sales person, who just replied she is working for different brands and can't look on line. The sales person from spotcraft was on "lunch break, " then I asked another sales assistant and got the the same reply.
What a shame, we left without spending any money and went to another store

I love David Jones Malvern Central store. It's not a big store but it is a very nice small to medium sized department store for the local neighbourhood. It has some really good shops and different departments. Staff members are friendly and polite. I really enjoy coming here every once a while!

I received a online purchase of a coffee machine back in 26th January 2021

Unit did not work correctly contacted manufacture which tried basic troubleshooting but advised to return to store for refund/replacement.returned unit to david jones malvern, and its been nearly 6 months since i lodged a fault with the manufacturer.
David jones refused my ACCC rights to a refund/replacement esp since the repair was not able to be done in a reasonable amount of time. Rang DJ support Rachel refused saying its covid repairs take as long as they take when i tried to explain that sorry no the consumer can now insist on a replacement/refund she hung up on me.

Can I pass on my thanks to the slightly older lady (and pardon my description) with the short grey hair, in the jewellery and scarf department.

Was going to do some shopping there but unfortunately was confronted by a screeching Indian woman at entry, who yelled & screamed, demanding to see my exemption for not wearing a mask. I showed it to her, but felt so disgusting after this experience, that I walked straight out. DJ's really should employ staff with better people skills.

Overall not too bad of a place very luxurious

The food is pretty expensive imo, so unless there is a sale it's not somewhere I would encourage to go

Probably the smallest David Jones I've ever seen, but somehow it still manages to have an incredible selection of goods, from clothes to homewares. There is even a David Jones food connected adjacent to it, which has incredible quality food, although for premium prices. But you do get what you pay for.

Is there anyone there? I have put this off but it's time. Every time you go to DJs at MC there is no one to be seen, and today was no exception. When I sent up the flare and attracted someone, I was advised she didn't work in the Estee Lauder department and that I would be better off coming back when the girl that works there is back.it was an astounding way to interact with a customer and when another woman asked for help with a mascara she assured her she had no idea and would also be better to come back on another day. Is retail doing so well they can turn customers away? In any case, DJs need to man-up, get the staff trained and in the least, let them acknowledge the customers in a way that makes them feel wanted. So often I go here and there is literally just tumble weed where staff should be.

Considering how expensive the brands David Jones stock I thought the service would be much better. No one around to assist me and no one at the change rooms to help with sizes. Not going to spend money in a store when there is no service and when you finally find someone they don’t offer any help. I think places like David Jones are out of touch with what shoppers want.

Very deceptive at first with seemingly smaller store until you are inside where you are spoiled for choice and in a DJ's store as good as you can expect to be. Don't feel you just have to go to DJ's on Bourke or Chadstone to find what you're looking for these holidays!

Clean modern store. Food court was popular. I bought a small carrot cake from the bakery and it was very tasty. They have many gourmet food products.

Staff are fantastic & range of products excellent for a smaller store.
Food hall is such a great asset to our community.

Although there was limited seating available, you could only purchase coffee in a take away cup, no sugar on the table, and no spoon or stirrers either, not the sort of service one would expect from this store!

The food at David Jones cafe was really delicious. Absolutely loved my roast beef and the side dishes were spot on. Would’ve been even nicer if they were served in proper plates instead of a takeaway box.
