Cumberland Lorne Resort

Stay was great rooms were good but a bit outdated but still good rooms. And the facilities were great service was also good.

We thought the view was nice but unfortunately room decor tired and outdated and mattress too soft for two people

Would not recommend to any family. Booked on the basis of reviews but this is not for a family outing. Their expectations are that your kids should be asleep and not to talk to each other after 10pm. Next door came and banged on our door because our kids was not asleep and apparently Manger can’t say anything to the person next door because they owned that apartment.
Forgot to mention that even the dryer wasn’t working in the pant house we booked.
We paid huge amount but zero service don’t go there if you want to have nice family time.

Brilliant location, immediately above shops and restaurants and across the road from Lorne main beach. The rooms are spacious, but dated. The resort has a tennis court, a basketball ring, an indoor pool and spa and sauna, and a games room for kids. We did request a room with a view of the ocean, but were not able to get one.

The accommodation is a bit tired and worn down (Penthouse, room 327, Foam building). This is our 2nd time staying there and I don't think we'll return again. Plus side, it is close to shops, cafes/restaurant and the beach.

The rooms were nice and clean but could use some updating.it is very close to the beach with just a short walk to get onto the sand

This place is old and in need of a good update.

Good location but feels like the 80's.

Overpriced in my opinion.

I stayed over the weekend. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The room is clean, but there was some basic needs missing like tooth paste and brush and I had to request it and come down again to take them. Second day the room service did not come to clean the room and even they did not even called me or ask me if I needed something. Price is high a bit compared to service provided!

INCREDIBLE! We had booked to stay before nz went into lockdown back in March, and because every else had just cancelled bookings we had assumed this was as well - our fault. It wasn't until we had full payment go out that we realised. Cumberland dealt to the problem extremely quickly and efficiently. HIGHLY recommend!

We are in 2020. The interior of this hotel is so outdated. We payed 360 for one night, our bedroom was in the back of the apartment with no privacy. (light shining through the crack all night)
The Couch and Chairs looked like they were bought of gumtree, (fitly, ripped outdated, tacky colors)

Had a massive pine tree in front of our balcony (pool is a pond)
I don't do this often, but terribly disappointed. Lift your game guys, time to upgrade.

Cumberland Lorne Resort is a very beautiful resort especially if you get an Ocean View Apartment or Penthouse.

The rooms are very clean and well designed and were updated a few years back so they're current and the deck on in the Penthouses are incredible and very cost effective as you can sleep up to 6 people easily so if you're going with friends, split the cost for a Penthouse.

The pool is great and it's just across the road from the beach, day spa and some great restaurants.

Loving the scenery as you look out of your windows, friendly staff and great service, well done

Great place along the GOR
Staff is super accommodating, apartment is spacious and with beautiful ocean views, right next to the beach path to the pier and all restaurants at your doorstep. Great place to explore the Great Ocean Road or just relax for a beach holiday.

Fantastic location but the rooms have seen better days and noise from the stairwells/outside area is borderline unbearable at night (zero noise isolation at the back of the apartments). Expect to hear every single person on your level come and go in the evenings, doors slamming, etc.which on the weekend with big groups of people doesn't make for a good night's sleep!

Excellent accommodation centrally located in the heart of Lorne close to the beach and shops.

Tidy hotel with big rooms - we had a one bed apartment facing the ocean. Check in was very efficient and the staff were welcoming. Good car park and well placed along the Great Ocean Road if travelling further along. Opposite the beach and above a good fish and chips place!

Great spot. Easy access to beach and cafes. The resort is great for families and groups. Games room, tennis court, basketball hoop, bbq and picnic tables. Our room was well stocked with kitchen items. Great views!

Loved, loved, loved the beach front apartment we stayed in. It was breathtakingly picturesque. Even the spa overlooked the beach. The apartment was spacious. The cooking utensils had variety. The only thing that I would recommend is to get a better skillet/pan. The bed was very comfortable. Easy access within a few minutes to the beach.

Great stay! It's right on the spot of Lone, very close to the beach and all the restaurants. If go up the hills at the back, Teddy's lookout is right there. Our room was spacious and has everything, balcony with a beach view, kitchen, large living with a sofa bed, washing and drying machines, especially the jacuzzi. Free parking undercover so worry free. Staff was friendly and helpful.
