The worst bed I've ever slept on in my entire life. The mattress seemed about 40 years old, the decor is dated and the rooms cost over $400 EACH! NEVER going back.

Great location and view from our two BR delux apartment. Friendly and accommodating staff. Slight negative, is that the building is a bit dated but overall very happy with our stay.

We booked into the Cumberland for a weekend away in Lorne. We had to rush to get there on the Friday after dinner because reception closed at 9pm.

When we check in we were very surprised. Our room was very dated (stucco low ceilings) and had a truly bizarre layout. There was a large magnificent window overlooking the beach, but there was effectively no windows in the rest of the place. The bedroom was quite far from the lounge room with the pullout bed, a bit of an issue for little kids in the night (especially as the long narrow hallway had three steps up). The bedroom was very unpleasant: it felt like a prison. There was a high window leading into the dark corridor. You would never open that blind. The bed (and the sofa bed) were very old and the mattress was very uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on aged springs directly and we just rolled into the centre together. The bathroom had a huge sunken spa bath with a shower in that. Really not accessible. Would not have been usable for anyone with mobility issues. Also, the shower glass was just a large window into the living room (there was no actual window in the bathroom). Our kids thought it was hilarious that someone could put on a "shower show" for those eating dinner but. I guess this was a (bad) fad in the early 80s and just goes to show that the place has not been updated in probably 40 years.

We checkout out after the first night (kindly the resort provided a refund as we had booked directly) and checked into the Mantra which was excellent, superior on every measure.

Loved it! Everything you need for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful spot. Close to resturants. Rooms were clean and apartment had everything we needed plus a gorgeous view. WiFi quality in our room was excellent

It was a wonderful stay (apart from lockdown of course because we co use the pool area) but in saying that the kids absolutely loved the spa

A wonderful place, right in the centre of town and has really friendly staff. Good quality furnishings and lovely large apartments. Right opposite the main beach and steps from all the shops.

Great location and ocean view. Good sized apartments but that’s about it! The 2 bedroom apartment was very dirty. The dining chairs had rips on them. The couch which are fold out beds where horrible. Sunken when sitting on them so uncomfortable that you would slide off them, we end up sitting on the floor! The TV was glitchy and had to program it twice to work. This used to be good back in the days and I feel it’s all the same furniture from back in the days. The split system blew more cold then warm air. Not much air in bathroom and there is a thick black mould around the windows.
I have a habit of wiping down benches when we get into a room. This would have to be the most dirtiest room I have been in.
We paid quiet a bit for this accomodation and with what we paid it sure was not worth it.
Do not recommend this place at all.

The staff and shared facilities were all great, however our room was very tired, and needed a lot of work, as well as having the most uncomfortable bed in history. Unfortunately we won't be back.

Very impressed with their accomodation. Especially the penthouse was a very pleasant experience. Equipped with great facilities. I recommend this place to people going to this area.

Booked for 2 nights and walked into room and booked an extra night. Where else would you want to stay. Beautiful location, lovely clean rooms with ocean view. Excellent customer service at check in.
A must try is Movida Restaurant. Right across the road and absolutely divine food. Make sure you book. It was the best!

Great stay and very comfortable rooms. My family stayed in a two bedroom ocean view apartment and it was fantastic.

Clean and spacious apartments. Great location. Many restaurants just few steps away from the place. Special thanks to Keith from front office, was a lovely gentleman.very helpful.

Penthouse apartments are fantastic and well worth the money.would definitely consider coming back.

Shout out to Heath at reception who is genuinely friendly and welcoming to the whole family. Staff like him make a place really welcoming and are the best asset to any business. Also all the cleaning staff were very friendly and respectful too.

Great place, good family holiday. Pool for kids, spa, sauna and right along the strip of shops and across the road from the beach.

Fantastic sea views, large comfortable rooms, friendly cockatoos. But the best thing about here was the staff, extremely friendly and helpful. I can't recommend this place enough and would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous location! Had a wonderful family short break, loved the indoor pool, spa, games room, tennis courts and squash court. Rooms are roomy and kids loved the cockatoos that greeted them each morning on the balcony. Could not fault.

Been comming for years. Reception staff absolutely fantastic. Place has been revamped and modernised a few times. Gardens are immaculate. Location superb. A little pricey but well worth it. Definitely come again
