Cucinetta reviews
70Lovely little restaurant with a delicious authentic Italian menu. Waitress was amazing & very friendly.
Food was fantastic, service was fantastic, venue was fantastic!
Will be recommending Cucinetta to all my friends and family!
Had one of the best Italian meals here, that I have ever had, great flavours, professional service and great atmosphere, highly recommend a visit
Some really wonderful Italian food paired with delicious Italian wines - service was friendly too.
If you want Authentic Italian food Cucinetta is the place to dine. Especially the seafood? If you are a first time diner don’t be turned off by the small intimate size of this establishment because first class service is high on the agenda with the wait staff. The cannoli is the best in Melbourne.
It’s the perfect setting for an intimate dinner and you won’t be waiting long for a wait staff to serve you.
We come here often and enjoy meeting the staff that have left their families behind in Italy to come here for work but at the same time provide exceptional service.
A weekend away in Melbourne a friend recommended Cuccinetta, and they where right. Wonderful food, fantastic front of house team who know their product fantastically prepared by the kitchen staff. Highly recommended.
I was dubious when checking the menu beforehand whether the price would reflect value for money.
I was absolutely blown away by the food. It was hands down the best pasta I’ve ever had in my life.
Delightful! Don’t let its small size fool you, food quality is excellent in particular the Linguine Marinara. Grazie Cucinetta!
Amazing lunch there today. We had the 29 cheese gnocchi and it was sensational! Absolute worth a visit with their amazing service and food to go with it.
Alright this place is tiny, however this was some bloody good food. So good that the size of the restaurant did not matter it actually created a very cool vibe! Customer service was top notch also!
This restaurant came with 5 star reviews and has for many years. It is highly over rated. It is not small and intimate, the 7 or 8 tables are jam packed and very uncomfortably close to neighbouring diners. The aesthetics are further down graded with music which sounded like something from a Bubble Tea shop in a plaza and a very loud, flippant Maitre De.
The food was certainly reasonable but very safe and lacking the flair I would expect from a diner promoted in the fashion it is. With hundreds of amazing restaurants in this precinct of Melbourne, I could not recommend Cuccinetta at all. We had 2 nights in Melbourne and looked so forward to this place but it was very disappointing.
The pasta was just ok, my partner had the marinara and I had the bolognaise we both described our dish as average. It’s not worth the price, if it was cheaper I’d consider going there again but it lacked flavour, the pasta was undercooked on the bolognaise dish, the restaurant itself is cramped, I would reframe it as having charm if the food was better, overall I would rate my dining experience as average and overpriced.
Food was delicious and phenomenal. Limited entree selection, where we wanted to do three courses but there wasn’t anything that stood out as something we wanted. Mains were different in it was difficult to choose because they all seemed like they would be delicious. Service was virtually non existent which was disappointing. For such a small intimate space I was expecting more from servers, but was less than I’d get in a basic cafe. It was almost at the stage where we wanted more drinks and food but we weren’t checked on so decided to get dessert and drinks somewhere else. The most communication we had with our server was them telling us they needed the table in 2 minutes, after two other tables had been there longer than us and we had racked up an expensive bill. I honestly didn’t expect the service to be as bad as it was that the guests I was with even commented on it as we left. It almost seemed that they gave more attention to the tables they expected more money from. Disappointing behaviour from the staff
The team at Cucinetta offer exceptional food, drinks and service. The perfect place for midweek date night dinner. Bellissimo!
What a hidden gem. This tiny restaurant really delivered, best cacio e pepe I've had and my friend wouldn't stop raving about the beef cheek.
This place is a true gem. It’s our go to for special occasions with a lovely intimate setting and great service. The food is exceptional. Highly recommend (make sure you book ahead because it’s a small restaurant!)
Shared a wonderful lunch with two friends. Everything about the experience was great - the intimate environment, the attentive waitress, the superb red, the delicious truffle pasta.plus a delicate and mouth-watering tiramisu to end with. Well done, everyone at Cucinetta, I'll be back.
Aptly named, the restaurant in this small cosy restaurant is tiny! But somehow the food is extremely good! The waitress was very friendly and helpful.
The only disappointment was the tiramisu, though. Not much coffee flavour and some gelatinous lumps.
This is a small and intimate restaurant and we loved the ambiance, attentive service, and delicious food. Would highly recommend for couples and smaller groups.
Quaint little restaurant with a delicious cheese wheel 'cacio e pepe' (with truffle) fettuccine. A fine wine list and very friendly and welcoming staff.
