Conservatory

One of the best places to eat in Melbourne. Such a great selection of everything! A beautiful atmosphere too! Highly recommend for breakfast.

The Conservatory located at the Crown Complex is a fabulous establishment. There is an outstanding amount of professionalism evident in their services. I would definitely recommend a visit to this high class buffet restaurant - this is a fantastic place to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, and important occasions. You will be expected to pay a substantial amount, however the experience is well worth the cost. From my POV there are no criticisms I can give for this place.

Great decor and nice view of the Yarra River too if you manage to get a seat next to the window. Food range was ok and the taste was ok as well but in my opinion, Melba at Langham still trumps with their food taste, quality and variety. Waiter/Waitress were very friendly and quick to clear empty plates.

I looooove the oysters and I had around 15 of it! It has variety of cuisines like Japanese, Indian, Italian, Chinese, others and seafooooods! I like the set up and all the foods are labeled plus all are with tongs. The roast pork was yum and the skin was really crackly. Staffs were great and very attentive as the moment my uncle dropped his spoon-put it back to the table but automatically someone came in and replaced it. It was an awesome experience.

FOOD POISONING! - VALENTINES DAY RUINED

I took my parter out for Valentines day the night before to the conservatory.we have dined here in the past and have had no problem.we had the 6-8pm session and left at about 7: 45, whilst walking down southbank about an hour later my partner began to feel nauseous, she began vomiting violently and this continued 2-3 more times over 30-40 mins. I wanted to to go up and speak to the manager in person but had to look after my partner she was in a bad way. So i decided to call up the conservatory whilst i held her hair up. The person i spoke to told me that they would get back to us within 24-48hrs, that was on the Thursday night. It was until Sunday afternoon that i received a call. The man that contacted us gave a superficial apology and when i questioned him as to why it had taken so long to call us back on a rather important matter he tried to make it out as if he was actually helpign us out in contacting us on the Sunday as they normally don't contact people regarding these issues on the weekend- or something ridiculous like that.

I explained that our night was cut short - mind you as soon as the vomiting stopped we had to take an uber straight home where she remained sick until she fell asleep. Didn't get to have a drink or watch a movie like planned. To which he went on to say that he has passed on the information to an independent body for further examination. THANKS!

I implore anyone who reads this to GO TO A DIFFERENT BUFFET/ RESTAURANT, i must admit i have enjoyed coming here in the past but the lack of care from crown staff and terrible punctuality mean WE WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN!

And hope this experience doesn't happen to who ever reads this. IF YOU DON'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO YOU THEN DON'T EAT HERE

Excellent food and fabulous service. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. We had the afternoon high tea and it was far better than the one we had at the hotel Windsor.

Friday the 31st was bith my husband's and my birthday. We were invited to Crown Conservatory. We were waitered by a beautiful girl name Grace. She was so polite and so friendly with a beautiful smile on her face. Every 5 minute she comes and ask if everything is ok. She comes and check if we more water or if the sun is too bright. God bless her she was wonderful. I would go to the Conservatory all the time so she come she can be our waitress. Thank you Grace for a wonderful costumer services.

Perfection wheh it comes to dinner buffets. The place is classy and offers a wide range of intercontinental delicious food. Would recommend a dinner here anytime. Very suitable for any occasion.

Amazing quality and selection. Really liked the langoustines, oysters and steak. Interesting and unique appetizers.

Great range of dishes with good attension to detail. Excellent service and a professional atmosphere, great place for big gathering.

I honestly expected way more choices for the price. The food was pretty good. Some of it was really good, some of it was ok.

It was nice to finally tick it off the list though. And if you love seafood, then you will love it.

Staff were lovely and plenty of table space, even on a two seat table. So excellent for people like me who grab two big plates instead of one.
Would I go again? Yes, if someone else pays.

The food was very nice, but the choice wasn't as extensive as i'd hoped given that this is a buffet restaurant. Service in general was excellent.

Life hack: one person go in and pass food outside through the holes at the front of the place. Made night out saved heaps

Brilliant all you can eat buffet. Plenty of oysters and prawns smoked salmon too with all the meat salad and veggies to choose.

I’m currently eating here on the 30th of December it is the best I recommend this to everyone they have a wide selection of food and lots of plates and the service here is excellent. There is lot ther is 3 chocolate fountains they are all deliciously made. If you are reading this and haven’t come here yet please come you won’t regret it. Star rating.

This place is like a factory, they just want to bring the customers in and churn them out as quickly as possible so they can bring in the next customers to keep generating money. They were really rude and there really wasn't that big of a selection of food. This is the type of place people just like to tell people that they've been there to show off, but there really isn't anything special to show off about this place.

This is a magical space, especially for an event or special occasion. You feel very special dining on anything and everything with a fabulous view of the river and mountains of food!
The staff are great, and once there was even lavender cake for dessert, which I've always wanted since.
Everything is fresh and food is never ending. Truly a great experience to have at least once.

High end dinning the food is just fantastic we went for breakfast and the choice is enough to have something for everyone they do eggs to order the price is under $50 a person it's not bad as this is a buffet they also do lunch don't know about dinner

We went to celebrate an occasion with our best friends for lunch during the week. The service was great and food was awesome.
