Commonfolk Coffee Company reviews
87Great coffee, delicious food and friendly service. Walked in and we’re seated in the outdoor area straight away. Social distancing is being observed and you can even use your phone to order at your table. Dog friendly as well, the chef even gave our dog some bacon!
Tasty coffee and interesting space, very slow coffee service (10am Sunday, less than half full), plenty of staff looking busy but not engaging with customers on the shop floor. "Small" size takeaway cup is too small and poor value.
Coffee was great, food was delicious!
Love that we were able to view the roasting live.
Great place to dine in.
We had the privilege of photographing a destination wedding in January at Commonfolk Coffee and we loved every minute of it! The industrial look of the venue was perfect and created such a cool atmosphere. The size of the venue was perfect for an intimate wedding and the outside and inside area created for a perfect transition from ceremony to reception! If you're getting married in Mornington, definitely consider Commonfolk, it really was great and so fun to photograph!
$9 for two tiny milky coffees. Not worth it. Stick to the Winey Cow, still the best coffee on the peninsula.
If you are lucky enough to find a car park, can put up with the load music, fine something normal on the hipster menu and don't mind sitting at a table with the previous customers dirty plates, you may enjoy. But don't expect any conversation to be heard over the din.
Gorgeous decor which makes up for the fact that this place is in the middle of an ugly industrial estate.
Great service too!
Coffee and food interesting and service excellent. I had a yummy potato Rossi served with two large Portobello mushrooms covered in goats cheese and served with scrambled eggs. Really delicious and beautiful presentation.
This place was really busy but we managed to find a nice table. Live music Sunday afternoons - and I will definitely be back.
Just disappointed ️ I didn’t find this earlier atmosphere plus, onsite roasting of coffee ️ plenty of seating and loads of interesting things to look at. Food is amazing and staff and super friendly.
Great coffee, excellent food and a really great atmosphere! Even though we felt like the oldest folk there we were certainly made welcome and enjoyed breakfast. Can't wait to go back, feeling anything but 'common'.
Good atmosphere.
Spicy baked eggs - not too bad.
Salty, salty, salty haloumi.
Very Dark roasted coffee, bit too bitter for me.
Cappuccino, flat white, latte, always served too cold, these should be at 65 degC, their servings are below 50 every time. It just ruins what would otherwise be a good coffee. If your barista lacks training, then give him or her a thermometer.
Came to this establishment on a recommendation and it is GORGEOUS. The art work and workshops in this place are fantastic. I had the smoked salmon dish for lunch and it was incredible. It wasnt overly complicated which some new cafes try to do these days. This dish was spot on beautifully balanced with the grilled asparagus, crispy potato and orange creme fraiche. Will absolutely be coming back. It's a thumbs up from me.
Away from the main strip, but still busy. Which isn't surprising cause their coffee and their food was great.
Funky looking place with plenty of seats inside and in the courtyard. Staff were great and very welcoming.
Highlight was the weird shaped gluten free donut thing. Later found out it's from rebel donuts down the road. Make sure you get one!
Well worth a visit when in the area.
We are regular now. Beautiful food, massive serves, awesome service, great atmosphere. Good prices. The coffee is the best in the area. The Steak Sanga is just the best thing on earth. Go! Again and again!
Came here for Lunch and the food was very tasty as was the almond milk coffee I had. Atmosphere was good the place is very busy. Love the cafes goal to goes towards zero waste this was one of the reasons we checked them out. It was a bit confusing on how you ordered weather it was table service or at the counter (its at the counter) we also had to find menus our selves. Servers were very friendly
Great venue with great coffee.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Went for the bottomless filter coffee option. It was a great choice.
If you’re on the peninsula and want somewhere relaxed that does great coffee this is a solid choice.
Parking is a breeze. Especially when compared to Main Str Mornington.
Lovely food, great atmosphere but just a dissapointed when purchasing regular size coffee and a plastic keep cup each to remember our lovely meal we were slugged over $60 for the 2 cups.on questioning I was informed keep cups are $29.95 each. Just feel this was really excessive. I have never paid more than $18.00 it's not encouraging return trade or reuse style cups with this crazy price. Dissapointed.
Very overrated.
Was told that they make one of the best coffees on the peninsula but was bitterly dissapointed.
Service was rude and snobby.
But the food was sensational!
Asked for a soy flat white but got a dry cappuccino instead. Service for coffee was long and too much banter overheard from staff at the front bench.
Coffee always good and the variety changes frequently, which is a pro. Staff generally very helpful.
