It was a lovely place to eat - greeted promptly with lovely staff and ordering online was seamless with ApplePay. The Truffled Eggs was amazing; however, the poached eggs on my Eggs Benny Atlantic was almost fully cooked (no runny yolk) but overall tasted great anyway.

Tried to give this place a chance for many years before writing this review.
Consistently bad service, young staff stuck up & too cool for school. The acoustics and volume of music make it impossible to converse. Lay out of ordering/coffee collection area makes no sense, having to lean over people eating to collect your coffee.
Food is mediocre at best. The only saving grace is the quality of beans although the overall coffee experience is extremely dependent on barista. Temps vary from 40°C to 70°C.
Hate to say it for a local business but would not recommend a visit.

My friend wrote: "Last time we were there, Saaskia had pulled pork and seasonal greens and she was really looking forward to it.the young manager told her 'we don't do that' as the pork usually comes in a big sandwich with other things. But they did last time! Kinda took the shine off lunch a bit. " The young manager had zero conflict resolution skills and kept escalating the situation, just saying 'we don't do that' repeatedly. I asked him to go away after the second escalation. He didn't understand what he contributed to the unpleasantness.

Staff and venue were great. Hot chocolate was cold and just tasted weird. The Granola was a nice texture but the flavours are really mismatched. Not to my liking.

Left waiting 35 mins for two take away coffees because they were ‘busy’ when half the cafe was empty. Ended up demanding a refund and going elsewhere. Won’t be back

Started my weekend trip down Mornington Peninsula with brunch from Commonfolk! Really enjoyed the baked eggs and massive mug of matcha latte!

Featured:
• Truffled Eggs ($23) : Truffley scrambled eggs loaded with roasted mushies. Recommend️
• The Bull Wins ($22.9) : Hearty serving of Spanish baked eggs with toasted herby sourdough. Perfectly toasty for Winter
• Jalapeño & Cheese Croquettes ($8.9) : These were a little too mushy on the inside but it has a great kick from the jalapeños.
• Oat Milk Matcha Latte - this was massive! Such a generous serving and definitely lasted me till the end of the meal
• Latte ️

Amazing coffee, delicious food and this cafe has a great vibe with super friendly staff. Definitely the place to be if you’re on the Mornington Peninsula.

staffs are professional and friendly.the warehouse-style roaster provides chill and artistic vibes. Quality coffee beans are packaged in a sustainable coffee bag with unique artworks.highly recommended

Really rude. I reacted to a bizarre silent "you can't to that". Where they had a staff member wait for me in the car park to tell me not to write on their paper. I had asked previously - when I'd done so before and it had been ok. But to sneakily wait for me in the carpark!? All someone had to say inside, was please don't. But to wait outside and be creepy!?

Excellent. No matter what day I visit, they always have their coffee on point.

Even when it's busy, it's never a hassle because I love just soaking up the atmosphere.

1st time visited. Very impressed. Very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Service with a smile. Food delicious, coffee delicious. Highly recommend. Booking is recommended.

Super super yummy chai! I was surprised to see it come in a teapot (i’m used to receiving the frothy steamed milk sort) but this was lovely:)

Hidden gem event space! If I could give this place more than 5 stars for Events I would! We had our wedding reception here and I can't recommend it highly enough. If you are looking for an easy DIY venue with a stunning backdrop this is your place. The event coordinator Shannon made our life a breeze and no email was left unanswered with no questions too large. Do yourself a favour and check this place out, all our guests raved about how perfect it was, not super formal but fancier than a backyard. The staff kept our guests well hydrated and well fed. Came once and their entire EFTPOS system was down, so they were unable to take any orders at all. Queue was huge. We came back a couple weeks later and everything was running very smoothly which was good to see. Large outdoor seating area for COVID conscious, with a nice and simple menu. We came on their 9th birthday, and their pulled pork burger was 5/5! The coffee is the star here though, and I highly recommend the tasting boards - they come with little info cards, and the waiter explains each coffee and it’s origin.

Nice menu and vibe. The coffee was really really good however our second cup of coffee was nowhere near as good as our first. The espresso shot was flat and not extracted correctly. Luckily it was our second cup otherwise we would have been extremely disappointed. Tried several times to wave down and call out to the waitress and waiter to reorder but never came to our table. The French toast was nice but I wasn't really blown away. My partners daily harvest meal was delicious with unique components on the plate. Will give this place another go next time I'm in the area.

If you are considering booking your wedding or event at Commonfolk Coffee in Mornington - this is your sign to do so! They have a wonderful team and a beautiful space - you cannot go wrong!

High end hipster-level coffee made in a warehouse conversion. The fact that the peninsula now has enough hipsters to support a warehouse size operation is a credit to the area. They have an app for online orders which is not too clunky (has Apple Pay), and can save you some unnecessary hipster fraternisation in the queue. Haven’t tried the food, but the people around me seemed to have no complaints and the place is huge so should be no issues getting a seat.

Effin’ good. I’ve got a new entry in my top 5 best smashed avos of all time (Millennial Kryptonite - I recommend adding mushrooms) so delish. My partner gave The Best Folkin’ Toastie (add a side of avo!) a 9/10. (This is pretty good as he’s usually pretty harsh on the food critiques). ;)
Coffee is excellent too. 5 stars.

The service was too fast, didn’t have the time to complain how long it was taking. The food was too affordable. The staff were way too friendly. Can’t believe how well fed I was. Coffee on the other hand was just next level, the mocha on the other other hand was just.wow. Soo yeah I guess pretty good. Most likely will be coming back.
In all seriousness the coffee was amazing and the mocha was even better. The staff were amazing. Highly recommend to coffee enthusiasts. Definitely coming back for a mocha and chilli pork scram.
