A lovely Cafe at the convenient location of the corner of Alma and Orrong Crescent. Good Coffee, friendly service, indoor and outdoor settings, a good spot to catch up with friends

Stopped for a dine in almond latte.
Temperature is right, could have improve on making the milk even foam all the way through. It foamy up top but runny underneath.

As a local and a very prominent regular at this cafe, I have to say that it is my heaven and go to place for everything, be it coffee, breakfast, or lunch. It is consistently exceptional and it has the most friendly, courteous staff who always greet you with a smile!

This is a neighbourhood cafe with a neighbourhood vibe.

Have been meaning to review this place for a while. What a great place to grab lunch on a weekend. Some really good options, the nourish bowl is always a favourite.

Everything was a delight. I had the Nourish Bowl - sooooo tasty and I feel thoroughly nourished. Staff were great, decor is great, and we’re happy that we visited.

Came here for breakfast as I was in the area. Had the Big Breakfast and it did not disappoint. The young waitress was friendly and provided good service.
The meal itself was delicious and the coffee was excellent. So much so, that I ordered another as a take away before leaving.
Quite a busy location at 10am on a Saturday, which is to be expected. Meal was still out very fast! Well done!

Super friendly staff, genuinely my favourite place to get breakfast/lunch in Melbourne. Amazing coffee. A lot of places who make their food “photo worthy” don’t follow through with taste, but this place 10000% does.

I absolutely LOVE Common Room! It’s my home away from home. The staff are professional, fast, friendly, and fun to converse with. They have a genuine interest in giving their patrons the best experience. The food is always fresh and of the highest quality. In truth, I am in the cafe at least 5 days a week because I dig the vibe. Thank you Common Room, for providing the best service, food and experience! ️️️

We recently had a function at the Common Room for around 40 adults on a Saturday Evening. We had pre arranged the menu with Ant who made some excellent suggestions. Ant and the team transformed the venue into an elegant, warm and welcoming space. It was great to have the whole venue to ourselves. The cocktails and food were prepared onsite by the excellent chef's so all dishes that came out were brilliantly presented and really tasty. We had a pre set bar menu which consisted of a selection of beers, some great wines and different but awesome soft drinks. The staff made sure that all our guests has a full drink at all times which was well received.

It was a pleasure to deal with the Common Room, Ant and his team from the time leading up to the event and during the event. I was especially impressed with the hospitality staff on shift for our event, they were highly professional at the same time made all our guests feel very welcome. Thank you Ant and the Common Room team for making our event a great success.

An ok chicken burger but pretty underwhelmed by the service - was told to take a seat by the barista, waited nearly 10 minutes for someone to come to the table. Drink was delivered promptly but food took a while - the waiter came and asked if it had arrived and then went and checked with the kitchen. Not terrible, but won’t rush back.

Unfortunately this place has slowly become lazy. As a cafe with an opening time of 7am during the week, they are slowly opening at 715 - 730am.
Even on weekends they open at 8. With several riders and early risers are moving to other cafes close by. The original owners were there daily and they held the ship but now it’s all too lazy

Just an ordinary cafe where the staff can’t be bothered to allocate an outdoor seating. “When there is a seat there is a seat, when there is not, too bad so sad “ type of attitude.

If you want something a little spicy to start your day, I heartily recommend their breakfast burrito, which is the best I've ever had.

I had my 21 + 1 party at this incredible venue, and was blown away! The service was impeccable. The food was sublime, with everyone raving for days afterwards about it. The venue manager, Ant, was a delight to work with. He was enthusiastic, beyond helpful and a joy to work with. Cannot recommend this incredible place enough for your next event. Thank you so much Common Room for an unforgettable night!

Great variety of breakfast choices, a little different from the average cafe. Very good service and a nice fit out.
