The best GP i've had in Australia. Professional, compassionate and actually give full consultations to provide the right treatment or service. I've been going here 5 years now and still really happy with GPs, Nurses and Reception. Highly recommend.

Cold receptionist and unprofessional GP. Doctor Sumoremo Nagappan, who had no filters and dragged on the conversation by asking questions that I already answered on the new patient form prior to coming to the clinic. It got worse when he kept on chatting without getting to my problems which was urgent and i was very worried. I got little advice from the list of problems that i have. I feel the care I received was very incomplete for a double consultation.

Dr Sleaby has helped with my medication over the last 4 months.

Sometimes I have felt that when I ask for permits to applied for from the Department of Health that it is a bit of a nuisance to the Dr.

Dr Sleaby has worked hard to help me yet I do think there is room for improvement on not making me feel like I'm wasting his time.

I feel like at times that communicating the withdrawal effects of medications wasn't achieved, whilst also not providing much notice before cancelling prescriptions. I went to get my script refilled and having it been cancelled, I suffered bad side effects. I suspect due to it being cancelled without me tapering off.

Having being referred by my GP on her retirement I felt immediately, upon entering GP Collins that I was in safe hands…. A friendly and efficiently run clinic with minimal wait times.
Dr David Roufael is very professional and kind, he explains everything in a relaxed manner and makes you feel comfortable and at ease.
I would highly recommend and rate both Dr and clinic

A GP who listens, has varied and extensive experience, and who I trust will give me whatever time I need anytime I visit to make sure they have covered every angle necessary is worth their weight in gold. I stumbled on Dr. David Roufael when I made an appointment with the next available doctor on hotdoc, but now he is the only GP I will see. I don't mind the few times I have had to wait a bit to see him because I know that he gives every patient - including me - however long they need, and such things can't be predicted.
Highly recommend

I recently saw Doctor Sumoremo Nagappan at the GP Collins clinic, where I have been a client for several years.
However, I would like to express my shock and frustration at how Doctor Sumoremo Nagappan does "business", which in this sense is literal. After providing a brief description of the fact that I have been affected by insomnia and anxiety in relation to university stress, he immediately prescribed me anxiety/anti-depressions within a 10-minute session, when he had never seen me before. I find that, frankly, quite unethical. Having studied Psychology at University myself, I know that prescribing these strong medications can lead to substance abuse and dependence for decades, if not a lifetime. Patients should receive proper treatment through counselling aimed at the root of the problem, rather than merely suppressing the symptoms. In fact,  anxiety and anti-depression medication have actually been linked to increased suicidal ideation and suicides and should only be used as a last resort. Certainly, they should not be the first thing any doctor prescribes to a stranger they have hardly made the time to speak to.

My impression is that Doctor Sumoremo Nagappan is a pen-and-paper-pusher who does not actually care for the welfare of his patients, otherwise, he would not conduct such unethical business. His goal in this case could be suspected to keep patients sick and dependent on medication, so they keep buying the meds benefiting his own pocket and the economy. It would have been so easy for me to be another statistic.

Yours truly disappointed,
Laura

I had a pleasure to be looked after by Dr Nagappan in this clinic recently. Who took a time to come to the bottom of my problem and investigate me properly. I was also pleased that the doctor runs on time and is available everyday till 6 pm, which meant I can attend doctor visits after my work hours. I highly recommend Collins GP to my family, friends and associates.
The clinic Art Deco is pleasant to look at and the music in the waiting room helps to create good atmosphere. The reception stuff is super friendly too. I noticed that service prices are fair and not as high as in other private clinics and Telehealth is still bulk billed, unlike in my local suburban area. Overall I am happy to find a reliable and accessible health provider care in the City!

At this clinic, you are in safe hands.
I've been visiting Dr David for the last few years, very professional and kind:)

Dr Ming Yong is probably the worst GP I’ve ever experienced. I had to ask more questions only to receive very short answers. He came of condescending as if I knew the answers to my own questions. I left more confused than helped. I had to sense my own way through his recommended next steps. I felt like he was more conscious about going home than hearing my concerns. My consultation was as cold as the fee I was charged for such poor service. I will never recommend this clinic to anyone even for a short visit.

I had a great GP for over 3 years won left the Clinic and encouraged me to go elsewhere. This clinic always bulk billed but not so anymore. I asked for my records to be forwarded to my new GP and they want me to pay $25 knowing I am a pensioner.

Few poor experiences here. The first was a desensitised, cold and aloof consultation for the covid vaccine. Today, another poor experience. Waited 50 mins for an appointment (such a lack of respect for an individuals time!) and then the consult lasted a few mins and was barely helpful! Really upset by this. I also dont feel as if my medical needs were taken seriously. I have left the appointment with no gain. Such a terrible, dehumanising experience! Don't go! I've given them three chances now. This isnt what the government gives rebates to the clinic for.

In my experience I went to the clinic and When I saw the Doctor he sent me to the hospital to see a specialist, If it wasn't for CollinsGP I would be in hospital by now and it would be too late for me to get treatment.
As a new patient starting from the reception specially Ana who's always happy to help
To the Doctor's.

It seems to me that CollingsGP is the only clinic in Melbourne who cares for their patients and for that reason I highly recommended.

This clinic is an absolute joke. Doesn't even deserve one review. From the reception staff to the doctors, they are all unprofessional, rude and outright pathetic. Doctors have absolutely no knowledge and instead try to convince you its all in your head. I was told I should have been hospitalised instead of sitting there if I was actually sick. No empathy and constantly being spoken over the top of without listening to what i was actually saying. Would highly recommend to avoid.

Thanks Ana for going out of her way to solve a complicated issue promptly. She has shown her care and understanding to the patient in great needs.

Baffled by these poor reviews. I've been twice and both times been given excellent care. No nonsense, to the point. Clear explanations, kindness, patience when required, knowledgable. I've been helped greatly by the doctors here.

Called up to get a first consultation booked and after offering me an appointment in 2 days time, I accepted and then asked about booking for a flu jab and was put on hold, after approximately 7 minutes the line started ringing again and I was prompted to leave a voice message. I called up again and after 20 minutes of being on hold I was offered a spot on Friday for my flu jab - then I asked about my other appointment as they hadn't even asked for my name I was put on hold again without warning.

I had a Telehealth appointment booked for 5: 20 pm I had not received a phone call by 5: 30 so I called the office. They confirmed with me that I would definitely receive a call so I waited after work in the car park for nearly an hour for this call, and no call. Very disappointing and frustrating as I called up to confirm. I understand that things can happen but given that I had called to confirm very frustrating.

Injured my knee playing basketball. I also have a history with knee injuries and thinking I have torn my meniscus and would like a referral for a MRI. This doctor hardly looks at it and says no just a light sprain and can return playing in a week's time. I got a second opinion and a MRI shows not only have I torn meniscus but have ruptured my ACL. Would not recommend this clinic.
