Coles Melton South (Station Square) reviews
48 Dear Friends/Family
I would like to write a complaint about the bad incident happened to our family at Coles Melton South (Station Square)
By some of the staff members (Lady manager and a Lady staff member) this morning 12/11/2023 between 8.30am to 9.00am.
After finish purchasing around $150,00 worth of groceries and we needed some help from the staffs at the self service counter,
There was a staff (name unknown) we asked her name she refused to tell us then we called her several times for assistance she refused to help us because she was having a nice chat with another lady.then the Lady manager arrived and we complained about her about the staff member who refused to help us,
Then the Lady manager was yelling at our family and she also refused to help us at that situation.
So we couldn't purchase any of our groceries without their assistance we had to leave all of our groceries back at the counter.
It's not the 1st time and it happens always at this particular Coles in Australia
Very poor customer service and we never experienced before.
Thanks
Regards MJM
We had the worst customer service today with cashier Isabella. Our bill total was $500 more but we got the worst customer service from her. She kept insisting us to scan the rice which we wanted to it to scan at last because we have a budget and the rice is last in our list. That's when she started treating us badly. We asked if there's a problem. She said no problem. We asked if we can talk to the manager. She said there's no manager, and she's becoming manager soon. Worst of it all she sweared on kids walking infornt of our kids. What a future manager it is.
I always shop at coles, but lately few months notice we never got baked bread on the shelf’s so today I ask a worker on the bakery, why is 10: 30 and is no bread, politely he said since we not back in the house the time bread gets here and we pack, is no bread on the shelf’s. After that I approach other coles worker and I ask to talk to the manager, he replay is me, and keep walking and waiving is hands for me to follow him, not a knowledge me just keep doing us job scanning cakes. I explain to him the story and ask is 10: 30 and no bread, I always buy bread on the weekends and in never bread on the shelf’s, is answered was, well wen people stop calling sick you will have bread on the shelf’s. I said to him annoyed is not every Saturday and Sunday, few months back people call sick, And walk away.
Walking true the islands, there it is the manager Shannon talking to is mate about home issues filling deodorants and the shelf’s were pretty full. Then as a manager you should be helping, the bakers bagging bread because is 11: 00 am and no bread on shelf s, not filling deodorants. @coles should send you manager Shannon to a course how to deal with customers, and from today I will every Saturday and Sunday, I will go to the store to buy bread and if is anything on the shelf s I will comment every day to prove my point, just because you don’t want to pay for the workers to bake on site, customers are suffering because at 11: 00 am and no bread no the shelf’s.
Its a comparatively new coles. Opened few years back. Good stocks always. Best thing of this coles is, it has halal meats, sausage etc.
Coles in Melton sth really needs a make over it's looking tired.
On the whole it's convenient and they do have some great mark down.
Love Coles only because of flybuys points, weekly special and compatible price and their in-house baked cheese cake, so delicious.
I had to edit my review from a year ago which was 5 starts.
I'm not sure why your staff/management push people to use self checkout when they'e full capable of serving. One employee was literally standing behind the 12 items or less line counter, doing absolutely nothing and asking my self and other customers to use self checkout even though we also needed smokes.
Some people don't want to use self check out I'm one of them. Especially for people like my mum, she's older and not well and they always force her to use the self checkout even though it's extremely hard for her.
Coles needs to hire more staff instead of using machines to serve people.
We felt so unwelcomed and ashamed.
They were treating us with disgusting and they were extremely annoyed when I said we didn't want to use the self checkout one worker was literally throwing my stuff in the bags.
Definitely changing to Aldi.
Really new and clean and friendly, now also has quite time in the morning for people and kids on the Autism spectrum. Staff are very helpful.
Prices have gone up. No eggs again. Self service sux. Need more checkout operators. Still better than woolies
So now because I choose not to use ur plastic bags, I cannot go through self serve without having my shopping checked? Coles owned by China?
Can't beat the end of the day specials at these stores, man crazy, great service & absolutely grateful for their contribution to the economy.
I like this coles as it is quite big, nicely spaced out so it's easy to manoeuvre through aisles. Always well stocked and the staff are very friendly. My only gripe is, take a jumper with you as it is very cold inside. Great for when you need to escape the heat outside though.
The store presentation is on point, big aisles, friendly staff, fresh food in the bakery. I normally don't go out of my way to make reviews but yeah it was outstanding.
Its good to b able to pick up groceries with no contact, however their phones seem not to work when u arrive at the parking bay to collect goods.
I cant complain about the groceries, they have been great so far.
Ive been spending way too much though!
Food is great
Good portions
Hygiene is maintained
Fairly priced
But please work on your Tea, its either too sweet, or sometimes missing tea leaves, flavour can be very bland but i would still rate your restaurant 4 stars.
Good luck
This place has the worse layout of a supermarket i have seen. Although there are 8 checkouts + self service, there is generally only 3 staff, 1 of which hovers around the self serve. Expect to wait
I like this coles better than the one in woodgrove. Comparatively newer in the area and car park is just outside this coles, easier access. Also walking distance from Melton train station.
The car park is absolutely appalling. I'm surprised nobody has been killed. There have been plenty of car accidents here. I don't recommend at all. I will be going to Woolworth once shopping centre is opened
Love the extra variety of products available at this supermarket and the wide aisles. Fruit and vegetables always fresh. Deli has a wide range available too.
First time dining at Melton food court with the new social distance rules in place it looked great, i accidentally removed a chair to fit my family and was rudely told off by a young lady who didnt have her mask on properly and was kindly sitting on the tables as a chair. This is disgusting knowing they are so proud to enforce social distancing rules but cant apply it to themselves. Sitting on dinning tables is unhygienic and unprofessional.
