City Oval Hotel

$27 for 3 small pieces of blue granedier, hardly a salad and a handful of chips. Have had a lot better for $10 less. Nice pub though, staff were nice also.

Had to wait 70 minutes for our meals and there was only 8 people in the hotel. And not a very nice meal.

A homely and great hotel excellent friendly staff and amazing food.ooooo the food.

We came up for a wedding (wedding is the next day) and found this little gem for dinner (after a 2 hour drive).

We signed up as member on the spot and will be back for our birthdays later on in the year.

Had the pork. Really juicy and had great seasoning. Waiters looked like they cared alot about the customers.

Food was nice but mans steak after asking for med well done was quite raw inside. I had the pork belly, very salty and bottom was very tough with chewy crackle. Waited a long time (25 mins) to order when we were 1 of 3 tables in the room. Have driven past so many times and was excited to give it a go.customer service was a 3.stressed/nervous waitress and a cold, didnt seem to want us there, lacking personality man/potential owner. This place has so much potential. Needs new blood!

Service was good and that’s the best I can say about the place. The worst pork belly I’ve ever had. It seemed like it was cooked a week before and then reheated. Tough, dry and with little flavour. For the amount it cost I was expecting much better. I would not recommend going here to eat. My wife’s meal was just as bad.

Service was lovely, but the food was not not great. Typical pub fare but slight overpriced for what was available.

The City Oval Hotels is very good the food we really enjoyed and the girls were very efficient and had nice personalities.

Food tasted poor. Gravy overpowered all other flavours. All meat was overcooked and dry. Vegetables limp. I couldn't finish my meal. Service was poor and we were squished in the corner. Cold.

Great menu for lunch and dinner. Very friendly staff. I enjoyed their burger for lunch, a very large serve. And their chicken parmy for dinner, also a large serve. Definitely worth visiting, a pub fair with a proper restaurant feel.

I had to wait 30 minutes just for them to ask me if I want a drink, then I ordered water and it never got delived and also they put way to much chips in a bowl.

Had the seafood basket, calamari was like rubber, fish was dry and whole unpeeled prawns were served.what am I meant to do with those? Very overpriced, won't be back. Told the owner and he even shrugged it off
