City Oval Hotel

Lovely lunch and great customer service. It was really 5 stars, but I had a dessert I didn't care much for so that isn't anything about the hotel just know now that Golden dumplings aren't my style. They do serve Michael Unwin wines and the Cab Sav was great as expected, the calamari juicy and tender and the cappuccino was as good as any I've had!

The waitress was awesome. The service was good I ordered the pork belly. The veg and gravy where so nice but the meat no crackel the fat wasn't cook could chew it was so disappointed. Management was not interested in my disappointed in the meat. Will not go back.

The meals in there are very good and the staff are lovely had a great day l be going back there for shore

Family and I loved the food, the service and the ambience! Great options available for vegans and vegetarians too.

Meals weren't that good, and pizza the wrong kind. Some of us enjoyed our meals, some not so much due to them being lukewarm. I had the pork belly that too a lot longer than all the other meals to come out (they did give me a free drink because of this) but it was tough and the crackling was not crispy at all.

Outstanding service, above average pub meal. Seating available for two without a booking (pre lockdown).

Had my Mums 90th Birthday here in a private room. Great service and really beautiful food. Recommended.

Cheerful staff, nice rooms, and mouthwatering steak. I always make a reservation here every time I come to town for business matters.

Normally good tonight must have been a off night waited an age for drinks forgot suace to go with steak, then in a rush to clean up, but it was lot busier than normal,

Steak was cooked perfectly but the service was woeful! Daughter asked for Tabasco sauce, never came. Waited for waitress to come back so we could order sweets, never came back!

Upon arrival, the staff have been brilliant. The food is devine. Have been made welcome, as if we were locals.

I stopped in here for a drink to catch up with a couple of friends after work. Staff were friendly, the place was clean and well presented, drinks were cold and prices were average.

Thought we'd give our possible local pub a try. Greeted by a welcoming front of house person who was professional and helpful. Ordered a pork belly bits entree which was enjoyed by both of us, then a fish and chip main for me which was ok but middle of the road. My partner ordered the last serve of vegetarian laksa for the night - and perhaps that should have been a warning. No coconut milk or cream in sight, curry paste AWOL, watery, curry powder flavour with heaps of vermicelli noodles and some veg thrown in and $25. My partner ate a couple of tablespoons and came home to rice crackers and vegemite. No acknowledgment that this was not an enjoyable meal for the customer. The chef, presumably, walked past our table and said -"not your favourite " and assured us that she had sold out of the laksa- over some period of time. Disappointing.

A really nice piece of steak in the open steak sandwich, reasonably priced. The souvlaki looked gret as well - someting to try next time

Great chicken Parma and great calamari. Served by very nice staff. Will go again.

Won't be back. Waitresses were great but food was very average and the older guy behind the bar and talking to customers needs to learn some manners. Very rude. Very disappointed

Had a 30th there and the staff were wonderful had the best night, can't fault the staff or venue

No service, got up and left after noone came and gave us menus. That was after 2 waitstaff passed through us when we were waiting to be seated. Neither of whom acknowledged us
