Less than worst, the male staff at the bar has been so racist! Cervo doesn't deserve a cent from anyone!

What a wonderful group of people. Smiles where ever you look. Food is superb. Service is amazing. 2nd time in 4 weeks and same service, smiles and delicious food. Very highly recommended. Thanks guys, keep up the excellent work.

Had my birthday dinner here. Took them a while to hand us the menus even though 12 of us were already seated for 10 ish minutes. The food was served promply and the serving portions were a bit above average. The food was great, very authentic italian dishes. MUST GET THE CHIPS. We could barely finish the food but they offered us takeaway boxes for us to take home. The waitress was patient however just the miscellaneous problems were they served us drinks without strawers and took quite a bit to refill water/provie extra napkins so we had to ask twice.

Where do I start?

I had reservations but the wife and I still had to wait in line for ten minutes. There was no greeter at the front that would've expedited the queue.

When finally seated, we were seated with no menus. Don't get me wrong, the ten minutes we were waiting at the front, we could've memorised the menu.

The waitresses that worked there were friendly when they finally do talk to you, but it's as if they purposefully avoid eye contact to not serve you.

Had to get up and get my own menus.

Asked for all our food to come out all together but came out separate.

The cocktails we ordered were not good and a bit heavy on the soda water.

Penne carbonara was lacking with sauce.

OMG, all we wanted to do was pay our bill leave and but were held captive for 30 minutes waiting for our cheque.

Should've got a bucket from KFC

Bad customer service. We sat inside and was given the menu. After 15 minss still no waiter to serve us. I started looking around to try find someone and nothing. Then I heard the manager say to the staff people on table 1 are looking around. So a waiter comes over and we start ordering and I ask her with the fish of the day what comes with it as it didn't say on the menu. She said she would ask and come back. Waited another 10 mins and still nothing. Then. I see the same waiter serving other people and serving food. What bad customer service. Dont go to someone's table and ask what they want to order walk off to find out something about the menu then nebercomr back. Bad customer servicenever going back again.

I’ve eaten here for years. I love the location and the food, and, although they seem to have a higher staff turnover, the staff are always lovely.

The food has always been great. The homemade pasta or a beautifully cooked Black Angus Eye Fillet or the delicious entrees that include homemade meatballs with toasted ciabatta.

Inside or outside, it’s great to watch people wander by along the Yarra River.

The barbeque pizza tasted like it was a curry pizza, it was very overpriced and the risotto was also very bland. Worst restaurant I have ever been to

Gnocchi, salmon, aglio and chicken were great.
Angus eye fillet was pretty disappointing, and arancini is a no.
Was very busy on a saturday night and food took at least 45mins to get to the table. Drinks were good and came out quick.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

I ordered a serve of pasta with prawns the pasta was shaped like ravioli but over sized, it had peas, really what a cheap way to do a green in a meal peas! I asked for no peas and when my meal arrived it actually had not a prawn in sight either? May be the waitress thought I said remove anything starting with the letter “P”? !? I got 5 pieces and we genuinely thought I got an entree, $33 cold and tasted like mussels not prawn weird and revolting.

Horrible! So disappointed in our meals. I don't even know how they think it is acceptable to dish up such poor quality. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Long weekend away planned 5/3/21
Checked into hotel Friday afternoon. Called to book a reservation at 8pm at Italian restaurant Cervo.

On the table we had three meals brought out. Calamari. Roast chicken and marinara.

Three meals did seem slights undercooked.
Calamari was very soft.
Chicken had weird texture and the potatoes were hard and *raw* tasting.
Marinara was not very warm.

Myself nor did my partner complete our mains. Not sure to quantity

Staff was welcoming and friendly
Prices are good.

Come 5am my partner had woken us in our hotel to a quick dash to the bathroom.
Finding herself in a bad situation of vomiting consistently.
No headaches or dizziness.

Comes 10am we need to time it between breaks to checkout and race home.

At this stage we thought it may have just been an upset stomach.
15 minutes in the drive we find ourselves pulled over for the third time.
This time I find it serious as partner was having shivers and cold flush’s along with the dry reaching.

At this stage still no water or hydrolyte could be held in.

We make the section to move to the closest emergency. (Footscray hospital).

With severe barfing in the emergency entrance, and spending four sessions in the toilets in 15 minutes. We were taking straight in for urine and blood testing.

Placed on a drip sack from 11am through to 1pm, doctor revealed poisoning and will

We were then transferred from
Emergency to hospital term wards.
Again placed on drip. With multiple injections.

Come Saturday night we pushed for a Release as very uncomfortable.
Doctor handed us a report and script.
But wanted us to report it symptoms persist.

Continuing to barf until 3am Sunday morning. It was finally passing.

Very greatful we had made the decision to go to emergency rather then risking it at home. Very server.

Following day I contacted the shift manager. With no intent to blame or insult anyone.
Purely as feedback incase something may be prevented.

But now I had just received a Call back from owner with a very nasty conversation.
Three minutes into listening I placed phone on loud speaker. For my
House mate to hear the words “how dare you give feedback about our food”.
Followed by a few minutes on what there service does for the community.
With the call not giving me an option to have any words spoken. And with no questions asking about the day or how my partner is doing.
I find my self to mouth back with *how dare he think I were to blame anyone or point fingers. It were to help assist and prevent someone else having to go through what we did.

I now find myself writing this review to share my experiences.

Unfortunately this was our experience of a very unfortunate labour day weekend.

Very disappointing meals, only 4 small pieces of kipfler potatoes and small ragu serve with steak and the carbonara was dreadful. Crown should be embarrassed if this is the best they can do with a restaurant charging the prices they do.

Definitely not worth it. The service was poor. Where we sat we could see into the kitchen. We could see the kitchen staff mucking around. One of the kitchen staff kept staring at me, made me feel very uncomfortable. Waited over a half hour for the Fillet and a Carbanora. Both very bland, no flavour. Nothing special at all. Won't be back, much better restaurants nearby.

This place deserves a much higher rating the food and service is immaculate and the food I ordered was absolutely perfect and I would love to come here again and again.

If it wasn't for the staff I would've just given one star for the experience. On two separate occasions the Scotch Fillet, Porcini risotto and Carbonara was disappointing. Something I definitely could do at home.

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews? The service was amazing, food was authentic Italian and delicious and the atmosphere was very romantic.

We had a 3 course dinner and drinks and paid $150. Great price for such a brilliant restaurant!

Unfortunately not what it used to be. The marinara had pieces of shell throughout from broken mussel shell and was quite bland. The pizza was a bit dry. The kids pasta was tasteless and the prices were way too high for the food we received. On the up side the sticky date pudding was delicious. The view is great and the staff were extremely warm and friendly just unfortunate that the food no longer holds the high standard that it used to have.

$44 steak was served cold, unseasoned and was bland and extremely disappointing. Much like the steak, the gravy and potatoes also tasteless and bland. They forgot our entrée. The kids didn't mind the spaghetti. Also ordered marinara spaghetti, which was quite nice until I ate mussels with grit in it still. We wont be returning or recommending. Much better restaurants in Melbourne.

Right in the heart of the Crown precinct Melbourne is this good little Italian restaurant. Plenty of seating with good customer service. Food was well presented and tasted fresh. Overall experience was positive. $$

Don’t go near this place.
Overpriced average food. Tasteless risotto. Dry spaghetti.
Staff polite but service was at a level where you felt they were trying to rush you out the door.
Spend a little extra and go a few doors down like we did after our mains at Cervo for a fantastic dessert at Gradi.
