They say a business is defined when things don't go well.

I've been a customer many years but an experience to return a DOA item (bought yesterday) was very unpleasant today with an attitude as if I have stolen something from the store.

I would have been happy for a swap and they would have kept my money, but due to their attitude I realised I no longer want to deal with them in the long term and asked for a refund which immediately got rejected.

It is only after i pointed out a sign on their counter with statements from ACCC that the store person was happy to provide me with the refund.

Surely, shouldn't be that difficult to ask for a DOA item that was only worth $85.

Asked how much storage a their advertised flash drive could have, the employee with a terrible attitude told me he didn’t know! And I should search it up myself! Worst customer service I have experienced

I am an avid game fan, so I always buy equipment, centrecom perfectly meets my shopping needs, whether it is online, offline shopping or pick-up, it is very efficient and fast, and there are often discounts, great, the staff is very patient (even if my English is not good), what a great group of people!

Lost my sale.

Walked into the store prepared to buy 2 4K monitors and accessories. After waiting around for 10 minutes while 3 men stood behind the checkout with no more than 3 customers in the store I finally was served.

The display monitor of the product I was interested in buying was playing a low quality video and I was interested to see a crisp image on the screen as this is imperative to what I would want to use the monitor for. They refused to let me see a crisp image on the screen and then told me that there would be a 15% restocking fee if I brought the product, trialed it at home and wasn’t impressed with the display quality.

Unsure what the purpose of the store display monitors are.

Excellent tech support provided by David. He walked me through his troubleshooting steps and at the same time, respectfully educated me on next steps. I've been building PCs for 20 years and his knowledge, approach, and customer service skills are outstanding. Bravo David! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Kaisen was very helpful. I needed two monitors to connect to a MS Surface Dock. He directed me to monitors that were cheaper than competitors and then the MS website to ensure I had the correct connectors. Overall, I enjoy using CentreCom Richmond as they make my life easy!

I hate leaving negative reviews as they can be quite harmful to a business, but I have been left no choice by the customer service experience that I had that was of a lower standard than that of the earth’s crust. Consumers need to be warned of the run around you will receive, especially when it comes items that are often ordered for the purpose of business.

I placed an order for four identical hard drives on their website. The live stock showed in-stock at 7 of their 9 Vic based stores, so that told me there was sufficient stock across the network to place an order (the system allowed me to order all at once). I selected courier delivery as I wanted them shipped faster and safer than what Australia Post had to offer at cost of $16 extra. After waiting 5 days, I had not received any shipping notifications so I decided to follow up as I expected the delivery time to be 2 days maximum. I called their online team direct and could not get a definitive answer on when I would receive my order or even if it had shipped. After requesting I get a call back by COB Friday on the status, I didn’t receive any updates. I had to wait until the Saturday to find that they still haven’t found the stock. They told me two units would be shipped from the Richmond store and two from the Sunshine store to the Maribrynong warehouse which is a 13 minute drive away. I mentioned it wasn’t time or cost efficient to send two of the drives from Richmond to the west then back out to me in the East. They subsequently said they would send them direct immediately, mind you via Aus Post which I said I didn’t want nor paid for. Their excuse for not seeing the stock picked up from Sunshine is they only do Click and Collect. I am not sure what this has to do with anything. It took 8 days for the stock to drive 13 minutes away. I even offered to go pick it up, because I was sick of waiting, but they could not nail down the whereabouts of the stock or offer any solutions.

So now I have to wait another 3 working days (5 including the weekend) for the last two to arrive. Two drives are useless to me as i need four at the same time for RAID setup. I rang three times on the following Tuesday to get an update as no one could clarify where the second part of the order was. I requested that they send another fresh batch direct to me from the store that had them via courier. They couldn’t confirm this or not willing to look it up. I had to wait until 5pm on the 8th day to find that they warehouse had received the second half of the order and had it ‘Processed. ’ They couldn’t seem to determine the difference between processing or shipped, as I requested they send it via courier. But of course they sent via Aus Post. Once I told them I requested specifically courier, they all of a sudden changed the carrier to courier magically. But with zero confidence James couldn’t tell me if they had shipped or just arrived and is being processed. It seems every person I spoke to there changed their story to suit what I want to hear, but there was no clear definition to anything. They said they would refund the courier fee several days ago, but it was still charged on the invoice on the first order.

I recommend you avoid this business, the in-store experience I had at Nunawading was equally terrible when I was looking at WiFi Mesh systems a year ago. They made you feel like you were an inconvenience by shopping there. I couldn’t leave fast enough and made a purchase at The Good Guys down the road who was cheaper and more knowledgable. AVOID.

Great store experience, the items i wanted were low on stock and they had great patience helping me find the parts. Also excellent suggestion for my gaming laptop, right on the budget and terrific specs.

Poor selection of items. Mostly the same four brands at each category. Having a lot of an item is not the same as having a wide selection.

Staff were awful. I get safety policy, my partner and I even waited at the counter to be directed as to where to leave our bags. Being followed around after and treated like thieves must have been a part of the signage we missed.

I can completely understand being asked to leave my bag behind the counter, I can't understand how when my bag was being returned to me they managed to drop all my property in said bag across the floor.

The most disgusting part asides from quite literally being followed around the store was whilst making my purchase they made me insert my card to make sure it wasn't stolen.

I bought the rog x570 motherboard here, and the motherboard was sent for repair twice because it could not boot and could not recognize the graphics card. I hope to return the motherboard, but the same problem can only happen three times before I can return it. Then what happened next, CPU? I don't know if I'm disappointed for Asus or the return policy.

Today I take the motherboard from shop and it still doesn't work ️

Biggest mistake, brought a floor model laptop (admittedly my fault for falling for something last minute that was pink).

Setting: During Melbourne lockdown.

Had issues from the get go. Emailed a week or so after the purchase with an issue and was advised to make an additional purchase to fix the issue (which was later advised by ACCC highly illegal).

After multiple back and forth over a course of a year was told hands were tied there was nothing they could except for sending it back to the manufacturer - which is standard.
It was sent back 3 times with my video evidence of failures and faults in which after contacting the ACCC after a YEAR I received a full refund. To note it was impossible to contact them throughout lockdown due to them not taking phonecalls.

All I can say, is if you've got an issue with them currently be PERSISTENT. If you haven't purchased with them, don't be fooled by their cheaper pricing - do your research on them (productreviews) and do not purchase from them.

Bought a pretty pricey laptop from them and the product key for windows was invalid. There process for dealing with this issue was severely lacking and bordering on rude. I am annoyed that I gave them my money. Should've bought from elsewhere.

Brough a gpu from here, did not work at all and crashed my pc. Swapped it in for the old gpu and pc magically seemed to work. The store says there is ‘nothing wrong with it’ so here I am struggling to sell it in marketplace because no one wants to buy a now worthless gpu that was marked up 300% of its actual value. Don’t go here if you expect value for you money.

With the exception of the apple team at sunshine who tried to find solutions for me - this place is set up to sting you.

I sent an enquiry with a list of compatible items for an eGPU - I was responded to and told to purchase a specific graphics card with a similar name by a different brand.
After receiving it, it began to cause all sorts of issues for my computer. I made contact with the product developers who advised me their product was not compatible with Mac.
Centre com argued with me relentlessly that it was, even though the product creators advised it wasn't.
So I had a product that didn't work and wasn't what I'd asked for.

Getting a refund on this product, that was incompatible and not what I asked for took ages, lots of calls, lots of emails and then still in the store when I returned the product had to again re-explain why the issue was their fault 3 times. Their method of 'customer service' is to be completely unreasonable until you give up.

Do yourself a favour and just go to elsewhere instead.
