Really expensive for the average food they serve. 'spanish/Mexican'. Almost $10 for one taco is pretty ridiculous, quesadillas were really small, nachos were really comparable to taco bill, with the diference that you pay twice as much.

I ordered lamb tacos and they were the filthiest things I have ever put in my mouth, would not recommend.

Great atmosphere here, food is delicious and the staff are always friendly. Great spot to meet friends, have an intimate dinner or cocktails.

Love the tapas here, and the service. The crew are young and hip, switched on, and always ready to help. A wonderfull light lunch for 2 of us is the calamari and the patatas bravas, together with a crisp chardonnay. We will keep going back. Pro tip - to make the visit complete, on a warm day ask to go upstairs on the balcony. You get a view down Main St and out over the Bay. Magnificent.

Absolutely jacked stud working behind the bar, nose piercing, tall, hard part, ear piercings, beautiful manner, excellent bar tending skills. Tipped him $50 dollars and he winked at me and said “teamwork makes the dream work” and continues to put it in the tip jar. Bar staff like this make me want to come back to Casa De Playa.

Casa del houso. I want to like you but.look, I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. Again. Third time here and your waiters/waitresses have missed the mark worse than a toddler learning to colour within the lines. We even have them the feedback when asked "how was your meal? " And was told in no uncertain terms it was terrible. The response from the girl "oh, sorry about that" and walks off.
My divorce settlement came quicker than the round of drinks my crew and I ordered (I haven't been married yet) and the lamb was.a true representation of the drought conditions our farmers a struggling through.
I get you're amongst the over paid and under laid demographic here on the peninsula. But this place takes the piss.
Lack luster and a tedious experience at best.

Had a nightmare. Ordered tapas and sangria waiter came back twice to notify us they couldn't do 4 of the dishes we ordered. Then our oysters were warm. And once we had finished our dinner the bar tender came out to say he couldn't do the sangria. Under staffed under stocked and poorly managed.

Chill environment. Nice food. Great place for a group to have a drink and share some plates of some nice food.

If I could rate this as a zero - I would. Worst experience in a restaurant EVER. Felt so bad for my bro who was celebrating his bday there cos he said it was a great place. And because we went in expecting it to be, we were however left extremely disappointed. I hyped up everyone about how amazing the Paella would be (as I generally always get this dish in other restaurants and this was not great.at all.you can probs see where I am heading in this post)

Terrible service by one of the servers (Miss Attitude) was downright rude when I asked her why the prawns were missing from the $48 Paella (supposedly shared between 2 people and it may seem petty to some but prawns are expensive, the meal was expensive and who would like paying for something that comes half done? !). So apparently it was a mistake. Which was the same "mistake" made to 3 other Paellas in our group. And so when they FINALLY brought the "prawns" out they were head shells and about 1 and a half each per person! (They must've eaten the rest.and for a shared dish, it couldn't be evenly shared. It was that bad that it was inconsistent. Some Paellas has 3 muscles and some had 5 and some had muscle shells with no muscle in it)

Who in their right mind would spend that amount of money on burnt rice with leftover prawn heads, shells and barely any flavour. Us. Because 4 out of 5 of the main meals were not even available. Funnily only the rib eye (the expensive one) was the only one left.

We then cancelled 2 Paellas because we had others who ordered them too but had to wait over an hr for their food.but Miss Attitude with the rude Service came out with them still even after saying that she would cancel them for us - so we called the Manager.

The Manager then came out and we told him that we weren't impressed etc and so he told us that they would cover the cost for the Paellas and that dessert and drinks were on them. Which took another 40-50 mins to come out btw.

Everything was fine after that and we went and paid for the other food we had ordered only to find out that it had already been paid for. So technically we double paid them and they didn't tell us this.
(Probably trying to make up for the Paellas they said we were going to remove from the bill)

I wasn't going to post this after talking to the Manager cos he was great but because of the whole payment thing and that one server chic being extremely rude the entire time - it has made this place a big no-no on my list.

If you want to waste your time and your money, go right ahead.

Lovely food and tasty drinks. Shame about all the drunk people taking over the bottom half of the restaurant.

Paella was amazing. Expresso Martini was perfect. Our waitress (sweet girl with pink hair) was uplifting and adorable this place deserves a high rating

Super food super waitress! We were looking for a good spot to eat and found it on our way being advised by locals.nice tables plenty of finger foods, fresh taste and acidic food.we loved it. Thanks to the kitchen staff and the waitress staff! Great job

My partner and I had very poor service today, we had to ask the waitress with pink hair 3 times to wipe down the table from the previous customers, she made a rude remark on the 3rd time we asked about being patient. She then neglected to take our lunch order so we left and had a lovely experience next door at wineycow!

Such a cosy restaurant! Loo was super clean and stylish too! (Yes, this is often overlooked, which is why this gets a mention). We had the tacos; lamb and the beef too. $9 per piece. Good value. Tasted really good too. We also had a tea and a coffee too. These were also great. The ambience was nice and calm. Loads of space between tables. Staff were super nice too. A great experience! Thank you.

The staff are friendly and the food is pretty good. Only problem is I always spend between $300-700 here

Came here in the morning, rather dead at this time of the day. Coffee was prompt. Although the barista/waitstaff yelled across the restaurant to her possible partner (whom obviously didnt work here) and then decided to makeout with each other.not impressed.
