Casa de Playa reviews
77Great tasting food and a really nice atmosphere. However, beware of high prices with small portions. Their tacos and quesadillas taste great, but for $24+ I’d expect a little more than an entree size. If you want to feel satisfied, expect to pay $45-55pp for a reasonably sized dinner (drinks excluded).
I have enjoyed lunch here, but gosh breakfast was bleak. I had banana bread, which was stale, cold yet burnt, and really stodgy. The coffee was luke warm. Wouldn't recommend.
Maybe the best pulled pork toastie I’ve ever eaten and great coffee. 8.3
Get down here, well priced as well
Nice food and decent choice available. Service a little slow on a quiet night, which was a little surprising. Cost a little more than we expected, so rated down a start based on value for money.
Bit pricy but that might be the location. Very good food. Lamb chops and semolina coated calamari best I’ve had for a long time. Service was great, good selection of wine. Will definitely be back!
I've heard wonderful reviews about the dinner available here, however my experience at brunch left a lot to be desired.
The crabcake eggs benedict were lacklustre, with a soggy base from the spinach, overcooked eggs, and bland crabcakes, this meal made me wish I stayed home and had the left over pizza from last night's dinner.
Great food and great service.

Unfortunately did not have a great experience. The vegetarian paella was disappointing and lacked flavour. The tacos were good, however overpriced.
Chefs Selection was fantastic, a little bit too much food, but incredible value and quality. Highly recommend this
Fantastic service, staff excellent, venue lovely, food absolutely beautiful and great prices, will be back for more?
Went to lunch here today with my friend and the food, drinks and customer service were amazing. We shared the mussels (beautiful sauce to dip bread in), kingfish ceviche with pomegranate and mint, calamari, prawns and scallops. A full seafood delight. The coconut and lime margarita was perfect for the extremely hot day. Highly recommend and will definitely go back when I’m in Mornington again.
Food at Casa was delicious and the staff were great even though they were clearly undermanned. Had to wait a little while for our drinks but it definitely didn't deter us from having a great experience.
Very overpriced! $32pp for paella. So $136 for a share dish, size of a dinner plate. It's rice!
THE BEST MARGS IVE EVER HAD! I’ve had margarita cocktails all over Melbourne but these were just superior! Loved the staff’s energy too!
The food was so good, the tacos, patatas, chicken wings, croquetas, everything was delicious. I couldn’t see any flaws in the food unless i was gordon ramsay
After a disappointing experience a couple year back, I decided to give this place another try and it was definitely worth it.
The staff were very attentive and friendly. They forgot one of the items in our order but quickly fixed it.
The food is amazing. I highly recommend trying mashroom quesadilla, it's awesome.
We popped in after a day on the beach,
Food was the most delicious I’ve tasted in years! Excellent service to match. The waitresses were on the ball with everything. Second time back, first time review. Whenever I’m back in Mornington I’ll be coming here.
Just finished lunch waited about an hour for ordinary food and got ripped of on the paella when we spicifially asked for the special on the board and we paid 70 for one plate waitress misled us, hopeless never to return to this place avoid if you can
Food was amazing! Couldn’t pick what we wanted so we did the chefs choice, (banquet style) couldn’t speak highly enough of the flavours. Each dish was bursting and so delicious…the Queso (cheese fondue) was next level & the pull pork cigars came out literally looking like a cigar with ash so very theatrical and clever.highly recommended if you love Spanish tapas, just beautiful! The The mojitos and margaritas were a hit too!
