Carpet Call Mentone

We had timber laminate floorboards installed about 6 months ago.

During the quoting process, the team were unprofessional in our home.

During the installation process, the team at Mentone were unorganised (kept changing the dates) and they were also understaffed. Who brings one guy to install floor boards? My partner had to help him bring all the boxes upstairs.

It was a rushed job and we have sent multiple emails asking them to fix the floors. They have never replied. There are gaps that are noticeable straight away!

They have done a shocking job and the floors are already starting to squeak!

I do not recommend this business. You are better off taking your time and money elsewhere.

Made order (carpet/vinyl flooring) in December 2018 and paid 40% deposit. When the salesman was at our house he made phone calls and confirmed they had the stock. Flooring was to be installed in January 2019 and we get a call day before installation that they cannot get stock (vinyl) until March. Unsure who they were calling at my house and to tell me the day before installation, i was very upset. Then to even get a refund was a joke, store advised me that they need head office to approve refund and they were unsure why i wanted to cancel my carpet order. I didn’t want to have anything to do with this company when they called me the day before installation.

Very happy with the service from Carpet Call Mentone. Andrew was extremely helpful coming out to quote and organise the job. Ricky and James came out today and layed the new carpet. They were very efficient and it looks great.

Had a great experience with CarpetCall Mentone. Having not purchased carpet for about 30 years, they were very helpful in store with suggestions and ideas. Andrew Gotts was very informative and knowledgeable, and arrived on time to measure up with lots of samples for us to look at and choose from. He arranged everything perfectly, and the two guys who installed our carpet were brilliant. Unfortunately they were so focused on what they were doing we didn’t even get their names! Pricewise, excellent as well. Overall, very happy with CarpetCall Mentone, would definitely recommend them.

Great experience with Carpet Call Mentone. They were helpful and efficient in organising measuring up and times/dates for laying the carpet. Their prices were very reasonable. I went to several carpet stores and found Mentone to be the best in price and service. Hats off to the two young men that laid the carpet on an extremely hot day. They worked quickly and were very polite and efficient in trying circumstances. Kathy

My family purchased carpets, vinyl flooring and roller blinds. The sales experience was wonderful. The carpets were installed and blinds install were installed satisfactory. The install of the vinyl flooring turned into a night mare. The installed used the wrong joining strips and left one area without a strip at all. ("Poor Quality Control")
Trying to get this rectified went from bad to worse. The first installer turned up with the wrong joining strips, the second installer rang to say he would be there on the Friday by 12. I rang him at 1pm after a no show and he said he had been but to a different address. ("A job mix up") Meanwhile several calls were made to the Mentone office and our frustration from the lack of poor service was building. The original installer was sent to rectify his work, he claimed he only had one colour joint strips and it wasn't silver as was paid for in the purchase agreement. This was met by a No and the Mentone office was contacted with the our messages going to message bank. All that we wanted was what we paid for. This was when I then contacted the sales manager of Victoria. He listened, couldn't believe that this had go on for so long and then confirmed my story and arranged for the installer to come out with the correct strips finally. So! This is a buyer beware moment. Would I use Carpet call again? Probably not. Was there any compensation forthcoming for this experience. No! Was there a follow up call from Mentone Capet call to apologise? No!

My wife and I bought a rug not long ago, we were very pleased with the service that was given to us by Sajjad, spent about an hour in the shop choosing the right design and the colours and the one very distinctive service that was offered to us was the rug being bought to our house by the sales man. With the rug being in our lounge room we were able to make our decision with full confidant.
