Carlton Gardens reviews
73Most visitors to Melbourne end up not seeing these beautiful gardens as Carlton Gardens is tucked away from central Melbourne attractions. Carlton gardens is a beautiful spot for a leisure walk and also a great stop on the way to many good restaurants in Carlton/Fitzroy area. A must see for every visitor to Melbourne
Nice gardens with plenty at your fingertips, such as Exhibition Building, Imax cinema and the Museum!
This place has many things to offer. Musueum, IMAX, beautiful water fountain, park and beautiful ponds and walking stretches. This place always refreshes when ever you feel down.
One of the many classic gardens surrounding Melbourne City. Large mature trees and walkways free from bikes are one of the attractions. Great to sit and nap, read a book, or eat lunch. Can be quite popular. Close to the museum and exhibition buildings which are great destinations in themselves.
Great place for first islamic months of muharram ceremony every year we come here for peaceful march for Peace.
This green spot in the heart of Melbourne is a beautiful way to experience the city. On the edge of central Melbourne it has historical tree plantings providing the 'lungs' for this busy part of the city. Clean with lovely fountain providing a restful background of sound
A nice & cosy garden at a corner of Melbourne City, has an array of flora & fauna.
Wild lives like the possums, seagulls, parrots, ducks, pigeons & other kinds of wild birds.
Nearby is a Melbourne Museum & A World Heritage Royal Exhibition Hall with a beautiful fountain, (it's currently ~ Sept 2018, undergoing preservation maintenance work).
Tourists, couples, families, schools, the newlyweds & communities came for picnics, gatherings & photography.
Home to the famous Royal Exhibition Building- site of Australia's first federal parliament
Built for World Expo 1880 and still used for exhibitions each year.
Used as temporary hospital during world influenza catastrophe 1920
Used as army barracks for US forces during WW2.
Gardens quite beautiful, full of mature trees and colorful flower beds Small system of lakes provides home for water plants and extensive bird life
A must see for visitors to Melbourne. Historical exhibition building housed Australia's first parliament.
This is a fantastic park. With a great playground with different sections for kids of different ages - great mix of slides, swings, climbing and music equipment. It also has plenty of open spaces for ball games and a full size basketball court that gets plenty of use.
Historical gardens just outside the Melbourne CBD. Great big lawn area for picnicking, amazing fountain by the Royal Exhibition Building. The Total Melbourne Flower & Garden show is hosted here annually.
Carlton Gardens is located in the northern fringe of Melbourne's CBD. Easily accessible by Tram or reasonable walking distance from most parts of the CBD. Highlights include the Exhibition Building, Melbourne Museum and the beautiful gardens, which have been developed to replicate the park's original design.
My family and I love this place. Reminds me of my childhood days from elsewhere. One can also see talented artists here. Great place I recommend it to everyone.
