Carlton Gardens reviews
73Don't know how you can complain. Large open green spaces right next to the CBD, with Museum, REB, fountains etc. Heavily under utilised.
I always love stopping by Carlton gardens after visiting the musuem. Located a short distance from the tram and it's always a pleasure to walk through and get fresh air to clear my head. We love the duckpond and water feature and all the massive trees and beautiful lawns. My absolute favourite park in the city.
Beautiful park with spaces for every taste. The playground area is amazing. Parking is easy. I strongly recommend this park.
Weather was spot on today, near by was free 2 hour parking making it very accessible for everyone to experience. Thank God we haven't created a complete economic cast system and rich and poor can experience this.
Absolutely photogenic. Great ambience all year round with bronze-golden autumns and lush-green springs. Large open spaces for public recreational use. Royal Exhibition Building and Melbourne Museum right on the spot. Clean environment. Public tram accessible. Car parkings alongside the park are limited unless via paid underground access. Overall satisfied and would recommend.
It is a very nice garden. I walk past it in the way to work. There are people jogging, playing basketball, reading, and playing with their dogs.
Do they have work to go to? Do they work night shifts? Am I wasting my prime days away in an office, only to realise too late in life that in being too busy chasing happiness, I walked right past it every day?
Also, beware the possum droppings on the pathway sometimes.
Nice quiet good to just lay on ya throw down rug beside the pond on a Sunday afternoon with the warmth of the sun beaming down and just throw bread to the ducks. Nice place & well kept by whoever's the grounds keeper.
Nice place to hangout, waiting for the exhibition building to be completed and then this place will be even better
Well maintained gardens, lovely in the autumn when the leaves are falling, lots of weddings having photographs taken, beautiful place, parking is expensive and hard to find due to the hospital nearby.
Always a relaxing time sitting on the grass on a sunny day.
A nicely maintained and clean garden. If you need to unwind with friends or family, this is an excellent spot for you.
The royal exhibition building is under going a renovation. But this place is always full of young ppl who are doing something interesting! The gardens are beatiful to walk around. So green! The children's playground behind the museum is very good too!
Great garden show with with ideas for home.lousiest food (stale half frozen roll on a burger) and overpriced.
A very good place for evening walk in carlton, melbourne. It comprises of cycling track, nice lush green garden with many sea gulls flying around, kids play area, fitness area, melbourne museum, heritage building with a big fountain. Also u can fina a new Imax theatre which has the biggest imax screen in the world. A total amazing experience.
Great public space to enjoy on a nice day. You'll find people sumbathing, families playing on the playground equipment, beautiful architecture and possums running around in the evening. All within a tiny walk of the city centre
Beautiful garden in the heart of the city. Clean and tidy. Great kids play area. The Melbourne museum and royal exhibition building adds beauty to this garden as well through their rich architecture.
It's a nice place next to Melbourne museum for walking and relaxing in lush green space. One of the favourite place of kids for playing, joggers for jogging on long trails and for people who want to relax a bit in the shade.
Gardens beautiful, so good to be able to get there from city centre either walking or tram. And the Exhibition Building is lovely.
Lovely, well maintained garden with very large specimen trees. Walked through it on our way to the Melbourne Museum, quite a few people there enjoying the Spring sunshine. Very clean and neat, a credit to the gardeners and other staff.
Amazing venue with a lot of history well worth reading up about.
Night life is pretty tame and interesting, especially given the surrounding level of vehicles. A good example of symbiotic relationship between human technology and natural wildlife.
I love Carlton Gardens.the Exhibition building and surrounding gardens are beautiful. Imax and the museum are both great to visit.
