Cafe Segovia reviews
56 Came here for breakfast. Ordered the Smashed Avo, and loved it! It was served with mushrooms, feta cheese, and kale. The coffee was great too!
Very friendly service, and quick.
It's ok. Lots of other cafes nearby so perhaps try another place. The "Big Trouble in Little China" eggs were disgusting. Too much of everything that tasted like nothing (but chilli). Not a memorable breakfast for this visitor.
It's a cozy place, Staff are very friendly and helpful. Chai latte is bland, offers eggs in toast with sides of choices instead of a benedict. Having the big breakfast would probably be the best choice, otherwise you'd be paying $13 for the eggs on toast, plus $5 for tomato plus $5 for mushroom plus $5 for avocado plus $5 for hash Brown plus $5 for smoked salmon plus $5 for hollandaise, etc. But The toast is good.
We really loved the food and the welcoming floor staff. Food came out really quickly and we were tended to with lots of care. I’m rating only three stars because the gentleman at the counter who was in charge on this day made the experience very uncomfortable by treating his staff with little respect. When we had sat down, he began clapping loudly and raising his voice saying “girls” to his staff and then very loudly telling one of them off. I understand the stress of a busy restaurant but during this time all the customers turned around and went quiet when he began ripping into the girl on the floor. It was very uncomfortable and we thought about leaving because of that but the floor staff were so accomodating and we felt bad. Don’t treat your staff like that in front of customers, or really, at all. I’d rather wait longer than witness this level of disrespect.
Wasn't bad, wasn't amazing. Certainly didn't set the world on fire with the Rubens sandwich.service however was amazing
We stopped by on a recommendation. A wonderful, secluded cafe with really good food, and some really good quaff-able wines. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was perfect. A fantastic spot for a romantic date or a feast with friends, with indoor and outdoor seating.
It's going to be a regular for us!
Kind and welcoming staff, great vibe. Awesome shirt on the barista, and blow your socks off mocha.
Bloody Friggin Lovely, fantastic food great coffee and hot chocolate a new favourite place, loved loved our breaky. Worth seeking out guys
Absolutely exquisite food and wonderful customer service. Friendly atmosphere and it is so pretty!
100% will come again:)
Disappointed that my partner and I had to wait just shy of an hour for lunch. Despite that, the food was yummy, and nicely presented.
Staff are very friendly and the Paella is definitely the best i have ever tried in Melbourne. 10/10
Brilliant staff and service really a pleasure to chat with and it really compliments a fantastic menu coupled with off the charts coffee.
This is now our go to when in Melbourne
A lovely cosy place with great coffee, I didn't try anything else there during my visit but the service was great and the seats comfy. Tucked away in a beautiful spot where you can come in out of the laneway and enjoy a little break.
Is it possible for the same place to just keep getting better well at Segovia it does absolutely sensational food the coffee is amazing but the staff are beautiful people friendly talkative amazing locals with an amazing cafe
My husband and I went on our yearly date, we start with the Myer windows then have breakfast and then do some of shopping. Saw the Myer windows, disappointing then went looking for somewhere to have breakfast, went down the laneway from The Block Arcade and this lovely lady greeted us and asked if we would like breakfast or a coffee, we both said yes to that and that is when we were blown away by the friendliness of the owner and her staff, the breakfast was amazing, nothing was a bother. Will certainly be going back and recommending Cafe Segovia. Thank you for topping off a great Sunday 13/13/20.
Good food. A bit pricey for what you get though. Had breakfast there. There is a variety of options from eggs to Granola. Coffee was ok.
The staff here are rude, arrogant and incompetent, didn't or "couldn't" follow simple instructions. If I were the business owners I would consider hiring new staff pronto! Wouldn't step foot back in this place if you paid me
Cafè that opens early in the morning, coffee is okay, breakfast is okay too. Had scrambled eggs with mushrooms and unfortunately mushrooms were way too full of garlic. Waitstaff is nice.
Very lovely little hidden gem of Melbourne. Beautiful food and lovely staff. A must try. Loved the lamb salad. Great prices!
Luckily for me Segovia is just a few steps from where I work; I love their paella and their coffee is excellent - highly recommended; the service has always been good too. Always a lunch to look forward to.
