Burger Basement

Always loved burger basement, they have the most lovely customer service and the sweetest owner who always ensures that everything is ok. I always get a meat burger and I have noticed a change in the taste recently, but definitely still a great burger. Plus their basement sauce is to die for!

Ordered in store for take-away. Waited ~20 mins for our food, they also forgot our drinks, noticed that the burgers inside the box felt quite cold and when we got home (roughly 3 min drive) the burgers were definitely cold. Had to re-heat them. This is the 2nd time this has happened so won't be giving the a 3rd go.

They sell coles patties and chips which is so bad. And the food is always cold. Not going to order any more.

This was such a great burger place 6 months ago. Now it seems to have gone downhill. They have changed the meat patties - used to be made in store and delish, now that creepy fake patty meat. Our order today also arrived stone cold and had to be heated in the over despite the fact that the store is a 3 min drive away. Very disappointing- we probably won’t be back which is sad cos it was one of our faves.

Really love this joint! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they don't seem to have gluten free anymore! I have been dying for a burger for 3 weeks and can't seem to get a gluten free one!

My partner and I went to Burger Basement last night to meet some friends for dinner.

We ate a Kentucky chicken burger, loaded waffle fries, a lemon and herb chicken wrap, and chicken nuggets, and some onion rings.

And yes we were definitely sharing haha

My Kentucky chicken burger was delicious, the chicken was well cooked, the coleslaw was fresh and it was a really good burger. I had a chocolate milkshake which was cold and tasty.

The loaded waffle fries were really good but for me personally I think I like them plain as they are more crunchy.

The chicken nuggets were really tasty, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Yummo lol.

I tried the lemon and herb chicken wrap and this was delicious. The filling was fresh, the chicken hot and it had a nice sauce.

Overall this was a solid experience and this place is definitely worth a visit if your in the area.

In an alternate universe, The end of Scarface would be me with these burgers in a mountain. Shooting good vibes and love

This was my favourite burger place. They have changed the meat patties - used to be made in store and delish, now that horrible patty meat. Very disappointing. Never again!

Our family just ordered dinner tonight. We are from South Australia just moved to Melbourne and hands down best burger I have ever eaten!

Really needs a better vegetarian option! The only vegetarian burger is an old school bubble-and-squeak potato patty. A mushroom, or haloumi, or fake-meat burger would make us regular customers. There are loads of amazing meat options. Quality burgers, great sides, but lets down the vegetarians.

Ordered tonight to share my favourite burger joint this side of the city with a visitor from NZ - was embarrassed at what we got.

Burgers were once flavourful and fresh - got sad, greasy and wilted things with dry, over cooked patties.

Chips were always gone faster than my son could breath in the past - tonight a whole box of undercooked things that look like coles $2 chips had to be thrown out because no one wanted to touch them.

The best burgers i had in the last ten years. Very nice customer service. Very clean place. Loved the experience. I'll definitely go there another time

Used to be an amazing joint. Ordered tonight for the first time in a while and was really looking forward to it.

Food arrived and was disappointed. The meat patties looked and tasted like they came from the meat section at the supermarket. They used to be so juicy and full of flavour.

The chips - terrible, whatever happened to the amazing thick cut chips and chicken salt that these used to be? !

Chicken schnitz burger is a must try. Fries were simply awesome Kenntucky chicken was even better.

I got the double beef. The taste was fine. The meat could be better. Service was fast. And the gem potatoes are o.k. The people are friendly.

Portuguese Flame and The Basement Burger were amazing. Good Ambience, dim lights and friendly staff makes this place a must to try.

Great burgers and reasonably priced. Was on the way maccas and came across this shop and decided to try it out. Did not disappoint!
