Have been getting regular take away from this place. Bun Cha is fantastic and the best dish is the flat rice noodle and grilled pork! Great food!

Food was delicious and fresh, and the service was fantastic, the lady hosting us went out of her way to look after us, we'll definitely return:)

As good as the bun cha we loved in Hanoi. Fresh and tasty. Cold corn drink was also excellent. Highly recommend

Ordered the bò kho (Vietnamese Beef Stew) and it was delicious. The stew itself had ample flavour and made me think of home cooking. Wish there was more bread though to soak up all that stew.

Definitely recommend for dishes that are not commonly found in Australia.

3.5 Stars I quite like this place even though it’s a bit different from the other Vietnamese restaurants. They seemed to specialize in Bun Cha, as their name suggested but we were craving for noodle soup because we had a cold, so I ordered bun Rieu and hubby ordered pho. We did order a Bun Cha to share for the kids (so I can try some bahahahahaha)

The Bun Cha is really yummy, the pork meat has a nice chargrilledflavour and the veggies and herbs are super fresh.

My Bun rieu was nice and warming as well, it has a fried soft shell crab in it but it was a touch fishy. Really comforting and just hit the spot though.

Hubby’s pho was ok, and there was no herbs for his for some reason, only deep fried dough (yau teow? !) that was kinda yummy but not what we used to.

We also got some crab spring rolls which was a bit fishy and a bit too oily.

Ohhhh by the way, try their corn drink- it’s different but quite delish!

Words cannot adequately express the sheer joy I experienced in finally finding an authentic Hanoi style Bun Cha restaurant in Melbourne.

I’m truly surprised there aren’t any more of these places around town as Hanoi style Vietnamese food is definitely where it’s at!

They also do an amazing chicken pho if you’re not feeling like chowing down on pork when you’re there.

Bun cha offers some tasty authentic Northern Vietnamese dishes.

The bun cha comes with a selection of grilled meats, rice noodles and a mountain of herbs and lettuce. The flavours are bold and delicious.

The bun mam is also one of the better ones in Footscray! Fermented fishy goodness

No good customer service and staffs treated customer like beggar and their dog cause they didn’t care whatever I was ordering, they just care themselves for talking gossip and laughing each other. And food taste also upset. I never been met like this rude and spoil restaurant like that before.

I'm Vietnamese and having this platter of 'bún đậu mắm tôm' really takes me back home. It was truly an authentic dish.

Had the Bun Cha Nem, delicious grilled pork with spring rolls and a big serving of fresh herbs and lettuce to wrap everything up. Just the right amount. Be sure to rub the lucky toad for happiness.

The grilled pork was too sweet for me. The duck glass noodles was so so. Nice place to go for Vietnamese food.

Bun Cha has not, to my knowledge, traditionally been served in Vietnamese restaurants in Australia because it is typically a dish served in Hanoi. This is slowly changing as northern cuisine becomes more popular, and it’s not difficult to tell why.
The bun cha here is delicious and fresh. Choose from about half a dozen options, such as bun cha with spring rolls (my favourite), grab an ice coffee too, and get change from a twenty.

Bun cha like my nonna never made. This is the only spot I've found in Melbourne that does Bun Cha like in Hanoi

Dined here for the first time. Unlike other Vietnamese restaurants, this one specialises in authentic Vietnamese vermicelli soup. Tried their Bun Mam which is anchovy soup with seafood with thick vermicelli. Would come back:)

Eady and cheap Bun Cha in Footscray. Delicious vietnamese iced coffees too. We ordered 3 mains between 2 plus the drinks and came to about $50

This shop serves almost all their dish with rice vermicelli noodle. We tried the Bun Cha Nem and the vermicelli soup. The soup was pretty average, nothing really stands out except the pork balls that tasted home made (in a good way). The Cha Nem comes with vegetable spring rolls, grilled pork and something that looks like bacon strips. They are juicy, marinated nicely and delicious!

The first and last time I had bun cha was in Hanoi 2011. Very difficult to find in NZ! Now that I’ve moved to Melbourne, I’ve spotted several viet places offering this dish. Very nice! Sauce is a bit sweet so ask for fresh chillies to give it a kick. Loads of meat, bit more noodles would have been nice to balance it out. Right amount of herbs and veggies. Well done guys!
