Browne Brothers Funerals

It is difficult to put into words how poorly I was treated by this company following the death of my mother. Lack of any compassion is how I would describe this company.
After paying for my mothers funeral I was refused a receipt and told that they would not even discuss my mothers funeral with me. Mary from accounts proceeded to tell me that I was not infact my mothers daughter and that my cousin was my mothers daughter and that they will only discuss matters with her.
I was told the funeral was private and they will not discuss it with me at all. What kind of funeral home tells the grieving daughter she is not family and although you were quite willing to charge my credit card for the funeral you then refuse me a receipt?
Who treats people like this?
The day of the funeral was also humiliating when both my brother and I were initially denied access to the viewing of our own mother, the deceased's own children. We were treated as if we were some uninvited guest trying to crash a party and had to stand there and wait whilst you asked our cousin for permission. Not to mention at no point were we included in the planning of the day with the celebrant which I find beyond odd or did the celebrant even take a moment to talk to either of us even on the day of the funeral.
What kind of funeral home acts this way? Appalling is all I can say.

We understand your upset and empathise with you. Unfortunately we are legally bound by the wishes of the executor or the person who has the authority to organise the funeral. As funeral directors we arranged and conducted the funeral as per the wishes of your departed mother who appointed your cousin to arrange her funeral. In this situation our hands are tied, we are unable to resolve family disputes.
After speaking to the celebrant he too was acting under instruction and has stated the funeral was seamless.
