Brown Grain Thai Restaurant (online Order is now available) reviews
53Got takeaway from here a couple of times. Food is consistently good and really tasty. They have fast service. Nice and friendly staff. Interior is nice as well. Just wish they had more of other veggies other than carrots in the food. This is probably due to seasonal availability but still.
I have to have Gluten Free & the restaurant was very accomodating in providing it. My friend (who isn’t gluten intolerant) ordered Mixed entree, Duck curry & black rice pudding, whereas I ordered satay chicken entree, spicy duck & pudding. It was exquisite & as delicious as I’ve eaten in Thailand.
Not impressed at all with delivery. Ordered 2 mains, a soup and rice and it took over an hour and a half to be delivered from the time I placed my order. The food arrived and it was more cold then warm however once I heated in microwave at home food was really yum I will say that. But. I should not have to wait that long for food to arrive, very late and I should not have to heat my food up in microwave for paying nearly $60.00. Very disappointed with my experience for my first order at Brown Grain Thai restaurant unfortunately: (was so excited cause I heard all good things: (
Very delicious food. They are doing takeaway and also dine-in. I recommend the crying tiger entree. Very delicious.
Although we didn't have a booking, the staff managed to fit us in and were very accommodating and friendly. Our meals were served very quickly, and were great, the satay in particular. The atmosphere was a little cold, but we were the only ones in the restaurant. Great if you're looking for quality food and good service.
The food is a major disappointment. We ordered several dishes and not a single one of them were delicious. The prices are far too expensive for such tasteless food.
I have ordered a lamb chops and vegetables. That was not too bad. I hope can order others menu next time.
Beautiful quality food. Really nice. Expertly cooked food, nice friendly service. Would recommend and would dine or takeout from Brown Grain again.
My favourite Thai restaurant in Ballarat. Uthentic flavours and aromas. Would definitely recommend.
We had banquet C which was 3 mains and 3 entrees for 3 people and it was all very delish. Everything was cooked perfectly and we were all full in the end. Great job and will return.
Brilliant food, worth the small wait for takeaway we had due to them being absolutely chocker on a Friday night. Shows they’re good if it’s that full
We eat a lot of Thai food, this is one of the best we have been to. The service was fast and the front of house were polite. When food came out it was of great potions. And the taste.yea we were very happy.
Absolutely the yummiest Thai we have had for a long time. Dishes were prepared fresh and the service were very friendly.
Highly recommended.
Breakfast yesterday and the double shot latte was smooth and silky. Great strength. Had the scrambled eggs and bacon. Also great. Will keep coming back when in Mildura. Our family recently stopped at Blk. Mlk for breakfast and coffee during a long drive from SA to NSW. One of the attractions for stopping at Blk. Mlk is the fact that they have an outside
Food was delicious! Moat were satisifed with entrees and main, great variety for all of us who were vegan and non vegan dietary requirements. The fault lay with the service, found it to be slow and one staff member a bit rude. Felt like it took a long time between being seated, getting our drinks and waiting to place our order. Staff did not seem too attentive, when one of us went to get a second drink, was told its sit down service and could not be served, which would have been fine if we were actually being looked after in regards to drinks in between meal orders etc.
Kambei was the choice for our last night in Ballarat and was by far the best of all our dining experiences during our stay. The prompt, efficient and courteous service complimented the excellent food. This was a return visit to the restaurant, and once again we were impressed with the service and standard of the meal. The serves were not too huge, but enough to make a filling meal before heading out to a late show.
Our favourite Thai in Ballarat, we keep going back and we always love the food. Can't go wrong if you are looking for a meal full of flavour.
Some of the best Asian food in Ballarat, hands down. Lots of families here and quite reasonable prices for the excellent quality food. I'm a new regular.
Very nice place, clean and friendly, food is good quality, friendly prompt service. Good place for family a get together or celebrating special occations with friends.
Food is authentic and awesome. Staff very friendly and attentive. Bit cold in the restaurant, but it is in the coldest town in Vic! We will be back!
