Yesterday was there. Very delicious food. Good customer service. Very fast service. Kids love too. Highly recommend

My family and I had a delayed Christmas get-together at the Brown Grain Thai Restaurant last night. There were nine of us. We had a great evening. The food was amazing and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals had a wonderful array of fresh vegetables and other ingredients of your choice, in wonderful sauces. Each of us ordered different meals, and everyone liked what they had. There was a great choice of vegetarian, and also gluten-free options, which was wonderful for some of our group who needed those options. A lot of meals had a little GF label next to them to show that they could be adapted for gluten-free. I thought the prices were very reasonable considering the excellent quality of the meals. Some of us came earlier than others because of how far we'd had to travel, and the staff were great in accommodating that. It is a large venue and family friendly. We had a lovely time, and I really want to thank the staff for being so helpful.

It wasn't our first choice the Thai restaurant we wanted to try turned out to be fully booked when we arrived. So we had to pick somewhere else then no parking so we ended up closer to brown grain. Turn out really well as we all enjoyed our meals, not big portions but turned out to be enough. We now look forward to going back again which is rare for us as most places disappoint us. Also the meals were served quickly.

Ordered a Vegan Pad Thai it was absolutely DELICIOUS, service was so lovely as well. Thank you! Only three stars because there was the most horrible smell coming from the back toilets when I went to use the restroom.like a sewage problem? Not sure but please fix it! The only reason more customers don't notice it is because your restaurant is so big.

Day 2 of our anniversary trip to Ballarat (3 March) after half day of walking around Strut Street to follow the Statues & Monument Walk, we were absolutely starving! So we went to this Thai restaurant and we got:

Golden Tofu
Mixed Entree (Spring roll, curry puff, fish cake and satay chicken)
Seafood Pineapple Fried Rice

Everything was delicious! Andrew reckon this was one of the best Thai food he’s ever had The portion was great for the price - the fried rice was quite huge so it’s perfect to share between 2 people!

We highly recommend you to visit when you’re in Ballarat

Second time we have dined at this restaurant and the food, staff and atmosphere are great.
All meals delicious and everyone enjoyed their dining experience.

Delicious vegetarian pineapple fried rice, chilli fried rice and spring roll. Nice service.

We had Lunch for ten people. Entrees, mains and dessert with drinks and coffee. Honestly it was all very fresh and of the very finest quality. Everyone agreed the food service and prices were all top notch. We all agreed to return together soon. I have not had better Thai anywhere in Ballarat or probably anywhere at all.

I definitely recommend this place.

We arrived and asked if a table was available and were immediately directed to a free table, even though it was quite busy and we didn't have a booking.

The service was exceptionally quick and the staff were all very friendly.

The Singha beer from Thailand was good, and there was another option from Thailand as well but I didn't try it.

The roti was amazing, and the curry puffs and the Thai fried rice with chicken were really good. One of the curry puffs was still cold inside, but otherwise this was a great meal.

Lovely food. Every dish was delicious and well presented. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Very good drinks menu.

Excellent food and super excellent service. Quick and easy! Had good green and red curry which are awesome. Delicious meal overall. Just an advice for owners. Seen some spider webs around the dinning area. If you fix them that will be awesome.

Loved the food. Yummy. Only issue I had was the noise. It was a battle to have a conversation. Staff brilliant. Thank you for a great meal and service. The number of customers in your restaurant is testimony enough without my recommendation.

This place gets every right: menu, price, range, health, customer service, location, atmosphere. All fantastic.

Food was so tasty and the service was good despite them having several staff short that night.

They dont have pork on the menu, which is great for Muslim customers! Definitely worth to go if you visit Ballarat!

Lovely Monday night light meal. We shared two entrees (salt & pepper calamari and sliced beef salad 'crying tiger') and a Pad Thai chicken. Good efficient service.

Very good. Nice spacious restaurant, attentive staff and fabulous authentic Thai. Beautifully cooked gr8 flavoured well present food. Good drinks list and well priced for a good serve.

Very disorganised. One person on our table of 9 received their entree and main at about 30 minutes before any one else got any thing. Then some mains came out but no entrees. Then the entrees were brought out after we received our mains. They forgot the last person on our table all together. After all of the chaos the meals were very flavoursome.

We ordered Pad Thai (Veg), Panang Curry (Veg), Thai Fried Rice (Veg) and Chicken Larb.

All dishes tastes great except the Chicken Larb, which tasted a lot tangy and sour. Hence the 4 stars.

Ours was a take away. However the ambience looked calm and quiet.

Recommended and will try again.
