Brown Brothers Milawa Vineyard reviews
84This was a highlight of our trip. I made the mistake of booking the tour for the wrong day and when we realised my mistake the staff were so amazing in doing a tour for that day. The staff was what really made it stand out for us. The place was beautiful and the wine is of course good. Would recommend to pop in if you get a chance.
Had a 3 course Lunch with Matched wine here and it was awesome. Could not have asked for more with the food and wine. Where it really stood out was the excellent service. Great return bike ride from Wangaratta if you want to make a day of it.
Ok but signage could be improved, especially in the entranceway. For such a well known brand, I was surprised that it didn't have more grandeur. Helpful staff and good tastings.
I was really impressed with this place. Outdoor settings and gardens were great. Wine tasting offered extensive selection with friendly and knowledgeable cellar door staff. Cellar door also had some jams available for tasting. Coffee was good and sharing plate selection well suited to the setting. One of the best casual cellar door/light meal experiences I have had in a long time. Highly recommend for those passing through Milewa.
Found it to be a great place for tastings, as well as a good place for lunch. Widest selection of wines for taking otn the district, and the staff were very attentive. Stopped for nibbles for lunch. Blown away by the flavours, setting and reasonable prices.
Excellent wine available at the cellar door.
RV parking across the road. Keep coming back.
Visited on a sunny Monday lunch time. Friendly staff for the wine tasting. Beautiful grounds. Scrumptious food. Stylish.
I went to Brown Brothers for wine tasting only.
Plenty of space for tastings. A very good selection of wines with knowledgable staff to assist with navigating the vast array of tastings.
Once I selected which wine I wanted to drink I then was able to grab a beanbag and enjoy the fine spring afternoon with a good book out on the lawns of the well-kept gardens. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Beautiful winery restaurant. Been coming here for the last few years whenever I get the chance. I recommend pairing the meals with wine.
Outstanding dinning experience and paring wine. Beautiful setting in particular the outdoor area. There is even a playground for the children. Very kid friendly. The cellar door has large collection on tasting (the largest I ever seen). It will be perfect if the cellar door staff are more trained with wine knowledge.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the winery which included the cellar, the Kindergarten, and finished with a wine tasting. Highly recommended.
Very beautiful and rustic winery, definitely the wedding worthy type. Service was also very pleasant, they catered well for my fructose intolerance. The food was beautifully plated, entrees were the best. Main and desserts flavour combination was a little off. Dessert was too sweet and heavy.
Was very disappointed. Turned away by burly security guard at 4.45 when closing time was clearly 5pm. Wouldn't budge even though we said we were only wanting to purchase a couple of bottles of wine to have with dinner and not interested in tasting.
Absolute pleasure to play at this venue. The Barn is an amazing space, food and wine are great, and staff are friendly and helpful.
Well there's a reason their so well known. They've built a lovely place to go for wine and food (although being well known, it gets very busy during peak holiday periods). The staff and wine tasting couldn't be better though.
Outstanding service and knowledge from cellar door staff - particularly Karen, who made our tasting very enjoyable. The Epicurean Restuarant has an amazing menu, and our party of four, from Sydney, all had outstanding meals. We received excellent service from Dana and recommend the wine and food matching. The beautiful grounds, historic buildings and enormous range make this winery a must to visit.
Food was delicious and the matching wines complemented the food. Staff were all super friendly great way to pass the day very chilled and relaxed atmosphere.
Amazing scenery and outdoor areas. Food was amazing but over priced, waitresses was very patient and helpful but service was very, very slow. Great for a pricey family day out.
A 'must visit' Milawa gourmet destination. Cellar door, dining or lounging on lawn bean bags, all good.
10: 10 Fantastic atmosphere, Fantastic Wines. Plus handy to Milawa Cheese around 1km away, do the cheese tasting, collect the platter and taste the wines and combine the wine of choice - perfect combinations hence my 10: 10
Fantastic freindly knowledgeable Staff.
Seriously it does not get any better. I sound like an advertisement but I am just a raving fan
Highly Recommended.
