I wouldn't go anywhere but here! I've been going for over 3 years, after receiving a voucher during my first pregnancy. The futon massages are incredible and I've never had a massage or facial that was anything less than wonderful. All the staff are so warm and calming, and really know which areas to target. With my second pregnancy, I think I was initially more excited about getting to go for a pregnancy massage here than the baby that was due months later!
Today I have been for a new mum massage, which is similar to the pregnancy massage but obviously they can use more pressure if needed. Ash was so thorough and really responded to what I had asked for from the massage.
This place is a real treat. It is expensive but the whole experience is far superior to other places, and I guess you get what you pay for.beautiful feather pillows, wrapped in crisp cotton sheets and woollen blanklets (how I imagine it feels to be a swaddled baby!) and really tasteful music and decor. The treatments here leave me feeling physically better but also a lot more zen before I return to reality.

It is indeed an urban retreat as the name indicates. It is my favourite go-to place for remedial and deep-tissue massages and other spa treatments. The clinic has a very calm and peaceful ambiance – I am always instantly brought to a calmer state as soon as I entered the clinic. Treatment rooms are clean, calm and organised. The sessions would start with a quick chat with the therapist to determine what's needed to treat the aches and pain. I always leave the clinic feeling lighter and less tensions in my body and very relaxed.

I went for a massage with my girlfriend and were well looked after. The massage therapists (Bella & Jenna) were thoughtful, thorough and catered to our requests. We both left feeling relaxed and absolutely satisfied. If we have an opportunity to return, we will be back for sure. Thankyou, 5 stars and happy customers.

Went here for a pregnancy massage. Cannot rate it highly enough. It was amazing and such a relaxing treatment. They offer futon massages for later in pregnancy which allows you to lie on your side (rather than stomach or back) and it was really comfortable, I nearly fell asleep! Would love to go back every day.
The only downside is that you have to walk upstairs (up to 3 flights) but you can request low floors if required. But it was worth it.

HIGHLY recommend! I was gifted a 60 minute relaxation massage and from the moment I walked in the atmosphere was peaceful and calm with aromatherapies and tea brewing in the waiting area which I sipped on while waiting for my session. The massage room immediately makes you feel relaxed and the lighting was ambient. Talisa was so warm and very kind and asked me where on my body I wanted her to focus on. She worked MAGIC with her hands - pure bliss. I don't know where the time went, I must have fallen asleep because suddenly an hour had passed just like that. Definitely booking in a 90 minute session next time I get the chance!

As an ex dancer I have received numerous massages over the year, starting from about the age of 8 years.

Now in my early 20’s, I have just experienced the best massage of my life. Wholeheartedly.

I felt heard, (Kat asked me before the start of our massage where I was sore and focussed on these areas whilst still focussing on my whole body) I was attended to and basically in bliss. You certainly exceeded my expectations, knowing where, how much pressure, the positions, was phenomenal. Thank you very very much. Best money I’ve spent in a while.

This happened 2 years ago but want to warn others.

I had a gift voucher from a baby shower from my work friends for a massage. Amazing right? I called one morning to cash in my voucher and booked for later that day. 2 hours later I went into labour. My partner phoned on my behalf to postpone the appointment (as I was busy being in labour). They said that due to it being less than 24 hours I would lose the booking. Even though I only booked that morning. It was really disappointing as they were able to get hundreds of dollars for nothing, and my gift voucher was wasted. I understand small businesses have to make tough decisions but it was very surprising that a company who provide pregnancy services that there was no flexibility, even for a part payment.

To clarify, I have not been to this spa (due to them essentially stealing my voucher). My review is based on their inflexibility and lack of empathy.

I have been going to Body Freedom for remedial massage for the past 6 months. The staff are wonderful, knowledgeable and highly skilled always going above and beyond offering advice for at home practices and the atmosphere is very serene and calm and I always leave feeling incredibly relaxed and pain free. Highly recommend.

I have been here twice. I had a remedial massage and a facial. Massage was awesome as was my facial. Knowledge of products is good qnd products used are Australian made which is great. Highly recommend!

Amazing staff. One of the best massage place in Melbourne, up with Crown Spa. Staff are lovely, always really relaxed when I get a massage after.

I had a lovely pregnancy massage the other day. It included a foot spa and hair treatment and I chose to add on a mini facial. It was 2 hours of absolute bliss. Shinea was so kind and made me feel totally comfortable and relaxed, she gave such a great massage I was completely transported to another world. Thankyou so much!

Disappointed. This company is so inflexible within the 24 hour cancellation or change that you best not get sick or god forbid any event happens to you. Even with the declared pandemic with government making emergency policies they won't budge on their change/cancel policy. Hiding behind the cost of having someone there is not customer service. Everyone knows there is cost to change, for them it's your problem. This will be the last time I will ever buy from them. Please take note that most one star rating on this business is due to lack of flexibility within 24 hours. Be weary, it is so strict that pandemics have no effect on them.

After a hectic day at work, I finally get to relax. The place was absolutely amazing!

Pregnancy futon massage is hands down on of the best in Melbourne not cheap but worth the money.

I always have a great experience at Body Freedom. The staff are so informed and helpful, we had a group booking and they were so accomodating to fit everyone in. My relax massage with Liina was pure bliss!

Had a pregnancy futon massage. Emily was amazing. Was able to get in with good pressure but felt as light as a feather, can’t wait to go back again!

The BEST spa in Melbourne. Get the remedial hot stone this treatment is incredible. The staff are lovely and give an amazing treatment everytime.

I had the best massage ever, Lina is the best! Professional and skilled, she has relived muscle and emotional pressure I had been building up for months! Go and see her, She only works week end.
