Blue Chillies reviews
65Absolute gem of Fitzroy. Shared a delicious, comforting meal (I had the combination Laska) here with my partner. Staff friendly and charismatic and a great cozy but upbeat atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Went there with my colleagues. Ordered a seafood laksa was absolutely amazing. I tried some of Hokkien fried noodles as well, was also so good. As I checked the menu, I have more things I want to try next time, I’ll definitely come visit again. The lady staff is very friendly and kind. I wish I could review seven stars! Thank you!
Another great takeaway experience from our friends at Blue Chillies. We love their food and generosity of spirit whenever we collect or eat in. Thanks
We booked a table for 2 at 19: 30 on Saturday night and arrived at 19: 20. Ordered 3 entrees and 2 mains. After 15 min, 1 entree was served, after 10 min the 2 entree and 3 were missing, after half an hour someone asked if we had been served all the entrees we ordered and asked what rest of our order. We could see our food being taken to other tables and all the other parties who arrived after us received their mains while we were still waiting for our last entree. It was already 20.30 pm btw. One of our enteee was not the one ordered but we just did not want to wait for another 20 minutes. Our mains were served at 20.45!
The food was tasty, satay skewers were super peanutty and spiced. THe beef randang was tender and not hot enough for me but tasted great. My lovely wife had Laksa, it's ok but lacking spice. Noodle World's Laksa in Richmond is far better for a lot less money. No BYO, so expensive drinks are mandatory.
I want to go back and try some other dishes.
Terrible Nasi Goreng - not traditional in any way. Tasted like bad fried rice. Asked for Sambal and was only given a teaspoon worth which was unfortunate as it was the only thing that made the rice bearable.
Food was okay but tamed down a little for western tastes but the service was fantastic. I'd eat there again in a heartbeat.
Great atmosphere, friendly, professional service. Our waiter who I think was the owner was lovely and offered complimentary icecream for our kids.
The Stuffed Tofu and Laksa were great.
Excellent authentic Malaysian! Delish! Thank you so much for being so accommodating of our little toddler, great hospitality and delicious food. They were all over my dietary requirements which is always really helpful (gluten free and dairy free).
Dined for dinner, we had lohbak for entree & shared curry chicken, coconut rice & roti for main. I also had a lychee martini. Food & cocktail were tasty & welcoming & friendly service from the female owner. Will return to try other menu items.
Lovely Staff and Even Better food really do recommend this place for a nice dinner out with family. Lots of choices throughout the Menu and very flexible with any dietary requirements
Im in love with the laksa and beef rendang.the ingredients they use here are so tasty and clean I dont feel like I have to take a nap after indulging.
The atmosphere is chill and welcoming, Bonnie is such an incredible warm host, she is another main reason Ive become a regular.
Nice cozy restaurant with authentic Malasian food as judged by my trip through Malaysia 3 years ago.
Such a lovely place with great customer service. Delicious food, would absolutely recommend.
They have the greatest Loh Bak i had tried in Melbourne.skin was crispy, filling was flavourful.also the owner was so sweet and nice.the chilli with the roasted chicken rice are definitely the best, i cant handle it well, but it’s so good, so good
I had the most humiliating and horrifying experience here. Still in shock about how aggressive the staff member could get towards their customers!
Racists! When I walked into dine in first they mistook for an uber driver and just pointed towards the food on the table. Then when I ordered food to dine in, they gave me food in a take away box. If you are not white don't go there.
Just incredible! I only ate here recently for the 1st time and I can understand why it’s been here for nearly 20 years. Very rare to find food this good, thank you so much!
This Malasian restaurant is as good as any I have been to & Malaysian cuisine is my favourite cuisine. The food was outstanding & the service was excellent. This is genuine Malay food of the highest order & I highly recommend it.
Best Laksa I've had in Melbourne! I ordered the combination Laksa and was most impressed with the broth flavour and how fresh all the ingredients were. On a 20 point scoring system, I'd give this Laksa a 17.
