Blok M Express reviews
58 High quality food & service although short staffed today.
Everyone in my group put high score for the sambal
Drastic Indonesian taste. The menu comprises quintessences of Indonesian cuisine. Recommended by many Indonesian food connoisseurs
My most favorite Indonesian restaurant in the Melbourne CBD area. Truly tasty and yet reasonable price.
A very good and homey restaurant with menus reminding you of Indonesian home cooking. Definitely a must-go list if you miss Indonesian food in the Melbourne CBD.
Had the fish and it was not fresh. Spiciness was on point and their fried chicken was okay. Coffee was too little. All in all it was meh.
Small little environment suitable for chilling. The menu offers good legit Indonesian cuisine but could definitely improve on vegetarian dishes!
One of the best places in Melbourne to have halal indo food. Authentic and reasonable pricing. The location might be abit off the main streets but its not too bad.
They recently reduced the portion of the meals and hiked up the price by $2-3. Iga bakar went up from $12 to $15 and the meat is reduced to half. The food quality is still ok, but overall, a bit disappointing.
First of all, I would’ve given 5 star if the fish was fresh. My ikan bakar was stiff and cold. Secondly, price was quite expensive for such dish. Other than that, everything seems pretty good, ayam balado was equally good as the service. Will be back but will definitely expect to get a fresh fish.
They recently change the food price. Had iga bakar, disappointed with the portion- only three ribs and very little amount of vegie served. Not so worth it anymore.
However, the taste is still not too bad
The service is slow!
It took me more than 30 minutes just for Chicken Noodles during not so busy situation. On top of that, the noodle I been waiting was wrong, I got lamb instead. I am not into lamb and that really killing my appetite.after almost an hour (45min to be exact) I got my order.
I'm in your restaurant right now and I'm still waiting for my lunch - 50 minute wait is rediculous! Your store should be "Blok M", not "Blok M Express".
Food tasted good and location is perfect. However services are very poor. No smiles nor greetings when we came in, we were handed menu directly to order. While eating, the staff were sweeping and mopping the floor next to us and was rather disrespectful. As soon as we finished eating they packed up the dirty dishes from our table whilst we still drinking.
Good value set meals with a choice of soup and drink along with a main, and quick service. Try the grilled chicken rice set as the chicken has a good flavour to it.
Tasty cheap food. Off-putting when kitchen staff open the back door and smoke outside, letting cigarette smoke waft through the restaurant - CLOSE THE DAMN DOOR WHEN YOU SMOKE OUTSIDE, YOUR CUSTOMERS DON'T WANT TO SMELL THAT WHILE THEY'RE EATING!
Service was pretty fast and the Ayam Bakar (grilled chicken) is the bomb! The sambal was spicy and so delicious eaten with the chicken!
I’ll give 5 star for the food but zero star for the girl taking order. She was very unhelpful and rude! Does she thinks every customer knows Indonesian food? Maybe she is the daughter of the owner but that is not the way to treat customer. We was there on 02/05/2018 around 11: 20am. Please do something about it!
