Blok M Express reviews
58Best Lamb Ribs Balado and Ayam Balado I have ever tasted in my life. Went to Jakarta to find the same menu but could not get them there.
I really like their spicy paste and the rice is a bit sticky makes me feel like having my comfort food just like home. Generally speaking, the location is very convenient, for those who like to try Indonesian food I highly recommend this restaurant. Their service also fast and it wont take long for you to wait, hope you guys enjoy the food there. <3
Friday lunch hunting for a meal I walk around the city look for Indonesian options. Finally get to BlokM
Legend has it that this place was initially opened in prarhan and now it's legacy is this establishment. Ordered lamb tongseng was full of spicy flavours great tasting. They had a lot of chips added to the texture they also has a little salad to cleanse the pallatee. It was great the spice was untensely delightful not amped down to Aussie pallate.
One sad thing though was the rice was clumped and dense not fluffy this qasa little sad as fluffy rice would have elevated this dish.
I liked the establishment, it was airy and Bright. Lower and upper level.simple setting with smiling hosts. You pay as soon as you order at the counter.o also saw some addone like for $4 you could get cow tail soup, drinks and eggs.
Over all for 13 dollars excellent value cannot complain. Great flavours nice environment.
Big portions, hence reasonable for price charged.price averages $10-15 for main meals, $2-4 for drinks.
As good as the food is but if the rice is not cooked properly the whole meal is not enjoyable. I’ve experienced this TWICE.
The food was good with reasonable pricing. It's a relatively small place, so limited seatings. A good experience overall.
Ordered the lamb curry, it had a very nice flavour and had good heat however the meat to fat ratio was atleast 50/50 and I felt like I was eating scrap meat. The rest was good tho.
$$, limited items on menu, ordered rendang wif rice had only 6-7 small pcs of beef.
Rice was a small amount too.
With tis price, can get better n more elsewher.
Tasty foods and good service (mostly self-service). Authentic taste of Indonesian foods. Recommended their Nasi goreng for the first timer.
Spicy sambal, tasted good but had to pay for additional bowl or plain soup.well, it was just a plain soup could have given it without extra charges
Not happy with atmosphere, staff attitude and service, food was okay but limited. Definitely not a place that needed to be on the top ten list.
Unpretentious shop with somewhat limited seating. One of the most authentic taste of Indonesian cuisine in Melbourne. A typical dish ranges from A$10-15.
Quality Indonesian food, even the sauce provided is top notch! Only reason why i took off one star is because the chicken is a little too dry and hard.
The best Indonesian restaurant in Melbourne:) Love the Iga Bakar & Buntut Bakar, they are heavenly palatable & mouthwatering! This restaurant is truly Melbourne's hidden gem.
Good food, great big portion and authentic indonesian flavour. Cleanliness need to improve (tables are a bit dirty and sticky)
Visited block M years ago, and we decided to give it another shot. We had grilled beef ribs, tongseng, grilled chicken. Love it. And the sambal (chilli paste) was simply awesome. Though I wish serving could be bigger, it is just personal preference. Happy to recommend.
A home away from home for indonesians in Melbourne. Soda gembira, fried tempeh, nasi goreng, pecel lele.all the classics at reasonable price.
Service is fast and efficient. Food is tasty and spicy to my liking. The prices of food and drinks are reasonable. Most importantly, the food served are halal.
One of Indonesian restaurant in Melbourne CBD. Located beside the gear shop. They serves different variety of Indonesian food (include pecel lele!), but very pricey (12$ for one plate). I visited in 2016 and they don't accept payment by card.
Food is ok but they need to rearrange the seats and tables, because it is bit conjusted. We ordered ribs which came with rice and a small bowl of soup.
They don't have toilets facilities, so expect anything like that. Once you have gone through the menu then go to the counter and order your food.
