Just delicious. Classic pub but surprisingly fun vibes right next to the beach!
The staff are friendly and love to crack a joke and have fun - food & drink we're extra tasty

Fantastic place. We hosted our end of year Xmas party at this venue. Amazing setting, great food and drinks, staff were great and very accommodating. Nothing was too hard when we asked. Would have it there again. Thank you to the team at Bleakhouse you’ve done a great job!

Love the Bleakhouse. A long time ago, it was owned by my uncle. It's a very different place now, but it is so good to return and see it so lovingly cared for. The fish and chips is above par and the service by James is fantastic. It would be good if they could include the Sunday Roast on their website, so we know when to come down:)

Enjoyed a fabulous lunch for my daughter’s 21st birthday in the Downstairs Terrace room. Kate was one of the best event managers I have come across and could not have been more helpful. Her attention to detail and communication were fantastic. Thanks Kate! On the day everything ran like a dream with special mention to Ferenc and James - food was great and plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the Bleakhouse for functions. You cannot beat it for quality, service and price. Well done to all and many thanks.

We recently had a small function at Bleakhouse and the venue and service were excellent. The end room was quiet and the screen was perfect for a power point presentation. Thanks to Kate and the lovely lady with the intriguing foreign accent.

Nice place, great view food and drinks a little pricey.and was better after lockdown when we reopened.

This hotel has a lot to offer. Great modern decor with a relaxed and warm atmosphere. The meals were reasonably priced, and right up there with the best hotel meals we've had. From the online booking, to the excellent customer service (thank you james), makes this establishment one of the best in the Port Melbourne/Albert Park areas.

Nice quick service, cold beers and nice cocktails. Very comfortable atmosphere and the food I saw looked great an decent portion sizes.

Quite a nice lively spot with decent bar prices and a great location in Albert Park.
Can't wait to meet friends and watch a game here.

We love it here! The staff are lovely, the space/view is great and the food is delicious! Must try the prawns and oysters (Fridays special particularly) and get some bread to eat with the chilli oil from the prawns look forward to next time.

My partner and I met at the bleak house in 2020 and we return every year for our anniversary. This year as we entered the venue no one attended to us, we directed ourselves to the “reserved table”. 30 mins later still no one greeted us for a welcome, Menus or asked if we would like a drink. Upon going to the bar to eventually attempt to order our food, our slight requests to alter the meal were all denied. The only sauce for steaks and lamb chops is bearnaise sauce (not everyone can have a creamy sauce) or would make a chicken gravy for our lamb chops.this is from an executive chef. No exactly ideal!
We did not order and left to attend to “The Graham hotel” which was a 12 out of 10 for food and service!
Unfortunately we won’t be returning to the bleakhouse which is such a shame since it held a significance to our relationship and we were hoping to have our engagement in their venue this year.
The bleakhouse needs to improve their customer service.it may explain why the venue is empty most of the time.

Absolutely amazing place, but the supervisor tonight who I thinks name is Lucas who had a shaved head was just amazing. Took care of me all night and was so helpful, couldnt have asked for better service it was a delight. Would recommend 10/10.

Food was okay, but took an hour to be served. Manager (female) broke about 4 glasses during the visit, proceeding huff and puff around the place, lending to the name “breakhouse”

Great spot to stop, beautiful area obviously so lots of great options but this was really nice.

I highly recommend the Bleakhouse for an event. I celebrated my birthday in the Terrace Room, and the service and food was fantastic. Ewen and Noah provided excellent service on the night and ensured the event ran well. Kate, the Events Manager, was outstanding with the organising of the event.

Food was delicious, well presented and of high quality. Serving sizes were sufficient, but the big eaters will need to order an entree and / or sides. The venue is very nice and in a great location. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Had my work Xmas party last night. It was a great experience, due to the planning, accommodating of our requests and excellent customer service from Kate Hughes and team at BH. Thanks so much!

Just needed to write this review as everyone always reviews the bad one but not the good ones.
Had my birthday lunch here yesterday and it was fantastic! Everything was organised prior to my arrival by the wonderful Kate who is events coordinator she was soo easy to deal with again nothing was a bother. Our server James was fabulous nothing was too hard whatever we wanted he was there and with a smile. The food was soo good we all loved the cauliflower coquettes could eat all of them!

We will definitely be back on summer to enjoy the beautiful view and service. Thank you for making my birthday lunch soo special.

Nice stuff. Came here with a few friends on a Sunday for the Sunday roast, and the Sunday roast did not disappoint!

We also had their pie which was equally (if not more) delicious. Topped it all off with their special pina colada cocktail, and it made for the perfect Sunday lunch.

Very poor, aggressive service from the purple haired waiter. So extremely rude and forgot to put through 3 meals, then blamed us for his mistake.
