Blairgowrie Cafe reviews
63The best place in the Blairgowrie Village for food and coffee. None of that surcharge garbage most of the shops charge you and coffee is a reasonable price. Really nice atmosphere.
Visited on a sunny Friday afternoon. Place was busy and staff were friendly and warm. Nothing was too much trouble. Ordering was easy and quick. We had our meal on the table in less than 15 minutes. Drinks as well.
Ordered the Ferga Burger. (A must have). Host Daryl and Wayne came around to our table and checked on how we were going.
Blairgowrie Cafe is a must go to place on the Mornington Peninsula.
$8.37 for a tiny and ordinary tasting chai is a total rip off. Should be ashamed of yourselves for such a ridiculous price and it wasn’t even tasty
Will never return again. What a rip off
The egg and bacon mini pies are awesome. I had more than one. Highly recommend, dog friendly but a water bowl wouldn’t go astray.
Only reason for 4 stars is the average vibe I got from the men sitting at the large table at the rear. I’m guessing owner/s and family. But it was the way they/you were just sitting and watching everyone come and go. It was weird and made me feel uncomfortable as though you were assessing or monitoring your customers.
Seafood basket was frozen prepackaged wasn’t worth paying for.
Chicken Parma was dry
We had morning tea here today, it was great. This Cafe would have to be the happiest Cafe we have been to, coffee's good as is the food makes you feel really good when you come here.
ORDERED:
Scrambled eggs on toast
+ bacon ($22.00)
Sencha tea ($4.50)
I paid $29.95, which included the weekend surcharge and a processing fee.
REVIEW:
As I already mentioned to them on Instagram, I was happy with the portion size!
But the scrambled eggs dish was a bit plain. They were also not creamy enough for me, but coming with the lumpy kind that was a little dry.
Notably, the bacon I paid extra for tasted a bit too smoky with a greasy bitter after taste. It was really disappointing.
Wouldn't recommend this dish.
️ Wish we could've ordered paninis from the app - or been reminded to go inside to have a look! They looked great.
There was also a convenience of seating ourselves outside. Also, the added efficiency of self ordering through the app was great!
They've also kindly put blankets outside in a basket to help yourself to if you're feeling cold. Very considerate.
Great spot, attentive staff, wonderfully food and a sunny Sunday lunch, what more can you ask for!
Had the best breakfast in a long time. Eggs Benedict with a few sides. The sauce was to die for. Great atmosphere and friendly service.
We stopped here for lunch while walking along the foreshore. Indoor seating or covered outdoor overlooking the footpath. Friendly and fast service with delicious food. For those driving, carpark available opposite. A little pricey but inkeeping with surrounding cafes.
We have been coming to Blairgowrie for 20 years. Our first stop is always the Blairgowrie cafe for lunch. Today we had Belgian friends with us who were vegetarian. Since the vegetarian option were limited we asked whether we could have the vegan panini but with normal cheese rather than vegan cheese. I was blown away by the outright refusal, even when I offered to pay extra for the alteration. It was not even busy today. We left. Such a shame.
Great food. Pet friendly. A but on the expensive side but very convenient since you can order at the table and stay with your pup.
Having to change my review to 2 stars (formerly 3 stars)
We got there and sat down when place was half full to then be told that they were closing up. The time was just before 3pm. They acknowledged that their closing time is 3: 30 but they were closed for the day. No apology, no asking what we wanted (only 3 iced chocolates for kids). I used to rate this place, but hugely disappointed in their indifference to customer experience.
Previous review:
Generally a good cafe with a standard menu, food and prices. Our kids love the iced chocolates and the coffee isn’t too bad either. Disappointingly they don’t have table service and tap water isn’t as easy to come by as other cafes. They also forgot to bring out one of our coffees and we had to chase it up. I would come back again for the iced chocolate but I’m sure there are better options for meals.
Watch your receipt, make sure you are not overcharged. Maybe order taker needs to repeat order back to customer
Amazing, we ordered meals for 8 people at peak time, and they were ready in 15 minutes. I cannot give this place a higher rating, but if I could, I would.
Great breakfast, excellent coffee of your choice and delicious food choices. I tried their yummy fruit bread
Came in for breakfast after visiting for a night, the service was amazing, all the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food and coffee was amazing and accommodating; if you can’t handle lactose. Overall lovely place and atmosphere 10/10 would recommend
This cafe was one of my first visits in the peninsula, firstly everyone who wanted to order breakfast had to wait in the same line as people wanting takeaway coffee. Service was ok only thing was that we did not have cups or salt. The food was very good, I really recommend getting the scrambled eggs. This cafe had amazing energy and character.
Great food. Purchased fresh, tasty food and walked across to the beach to enjoy the view. Would have eaten there, but it was very popular and no tables available. Noticed it was doggie friendly, nice touch.
Great energy and happy staff, the Ferg burger was delicious and a great substitute if you can't get to Queenstown!
