Bistro La Provence

We had dinner last night and have to say it was exceptional.

The food was superb and the service was very good.

The best meal I’ve had in Melbourne.

3.7 out of 5. Pretty impressive. Had lunch here with an old friend and we had a great time. There were already a few prosperous looking Brighton ladies installed here when we arrived. Rather happy they looked. I had the bouillabaisse for main. Nice it was too with a decent amount of seafood. I would have liked just a little more broth though. I couldn’t fault the flavour though which was deep, rich and lovely. My companion, a cook of some note, liked his fish but without going into raptures. I did like the bread here which I used with good effect on my soup. The croutons were most satisfactory too. The cheese platter went down a treat for us with decent wedges of good quality cheese. We enjoyed the meal and the get together. I would happily return.

Very Impressive staff and the menu was really amazing.last Tuesday, I had dinner with my new friend and we enjoyed the best tastes of "Lamb shank and Beef cheek". Staff was so polite. Highly Recommended!

Great cosy little restaurant. A hidden gem that's very easily missed. You could almost forget you're in Australia.

They're flexible enough to handle vegetarians even though there not much choice on the main a la carte menu.

Excellent food, warm welcoming, good service and reasonable prices. Seating was comfortable and the restaurant was appropriately styled for the French setting. 5/5 stars would definitely recommend and revisit this restaurant!

Highly recommend! Great service. Enjoyed all 3 courses, especially the dessert profiteroles with a lot of ice cream and surprisingly crunchy pastry.

At long last Brighton has a French restaurant to celebrate. Whilst comparisons will be drawn to those South Yarra establishments, the team at bistro la provence delivers the goods. Viva la provence Francais

Cosy environment, good service, and delicious French food, including quail and duck, both full of flavour. I should probably try the desserts next time.

Surprisingly big inside, enjoyable food, unsurprisingly a bit expensive - French restaurant combined with the Brighton tax.

It is delighted that a french restaurant opening in Brighton. We came last Friday to have a dinner. The food was delicious and the services were excellent. The whole setting is elegant and classic. Highly recommended.

We went to Bistro La Provence on Saturday night, it was our first time and the food was excellent, couldn't fault it. The service was very good and attentive. We will certainly return!
