Bird's Basement

This place is excellent. BUT please double check if you book standing/ dancing tickets that they are in the area allocated AT Time Of Booking. Turned up for Eric Roberson and got told we were in a different area, to the side bar near the ladies toilet. Not very good. Staff were accommodating. Owners you need to lift your game, very disappointing. At least some notification would be appreciated as we are paying customers.

Great small venue. If the table and seating arrangement was better, there would certainly be a 5th star

Great Jazz club performance Venue. Fun, underground intimate club with two bars and reasonable amount of food choices.

Best spot for a gig. Good crowd and good bar service. Acoustics great with sitting znd standing room.

Thought we’d pop in for a quick afternoon wine and antipasta platter with our friends. 15 minutes after ordering our wine and platter we went back to the bar to ask where our wine was. Response was ‘we have ran out of wine glasses’. That’s fine, but can’t you put it in another glass or at least let us know? Another 20 minutes goes by and we finish our wines with still no platter. Back to the bar we go. Waiters response ‘oh, it’s been sitting here for ages but we didn’t know who it belonged to. It’s gone cold, but good thing they are cold platters right? ’ and then handed the platter to me. There was no more than 15 people in the bar with 4 staff working. Hopefully service does improve or they were just having a bad night.

I attended the Badloves show here whilst visiting my friend in Melbourne.
The show was fantastic and venue was easily among the best I have ever seen.
Sound production was very good and the video screens were a very nice touch. Top class!

Great Sunday afternoon session, had a few dtinks and shared some snacks while we watched Nichaud Fitzgibbon work her magic.

Incredibly disappointing evening. Star attraction sang hardly 2.5 songs, was absent from the stage for the majority of the gig, entire set was less than 40 mins.

Just enjoyed Brian Ellis. Music wonderful. Venue intimate with excellent view of stage and good quality sound. Friendly bar staff and reasonable prices on drinks

Cool place, enjoyed it a lot. I did not mind arriving there early, got a really good table. Quality wines and other drinks.
But somehow the screens were not in sync with the live show. So it akl looked/sounded a bit comical.:)

Lovely atmosphere and service, though sound mixing was a little off, and no food /snacks available downstairs

What a joke. Paid $90 for stage seats only to be allocated a cheaper side seat. The legend Roy Ayers played 3 songs and his excellent band played the rest of the set. Feeling ripped off. Wont be back.

Great venue. Drinks a bit pricy, and the room layout is strange, but seats off to the side are perfect for listening.
