BIG4 Ballarat Goldfields Holiday Park reviews
68Really nice, plenty of accommodation options. Pool. Kids entertainments Climate control in cabin. Helpful happy staff. Very close to Sovereign Hill. Quiet at night. Recommended.
You travel around Australia staying at caravan parks then
You stay at the goldfields ballarat, you meet the most freindly staff, and you feel like part of the family, we stayed in the top cabin, so homely and comfortable, dont go past this place so close to everything enjoy im 67 had fun on the jumping pillow 2 mins to sovereign hill
First time at a big4 and I'm beside myself on how awesome this place is. Not a big place which really suited myself and my daughter but still lots of holidaymakers after Easter with kids which my daughter just loved. Will be back again in no time.
The amenities are too small to such a big caravan park. Excellent linen, very tidy and well located. The only issue is there are too many people for one tiny kitchen and miniature toilets.
Extremely well presented and featured park. Very professional and friendly staff. Good sized sites and access. Well located. Rate it in the top 10% of parks.
Great for kids! My son thoroughly enjoyed the pillow and pool and riding his scooter around the park with all the other kids. The playground could use an update though as it’s not very exciting.
Cabin was fine although the bunk bed - bottom double was sooo uncomfortable. Might be ok for kids but do not recommend for an adult. Also we couldn’t get the tv remote to work so had to manually change the channel every time and staff couldn’t help - very painful we gave up! Didn’t get wifi password so didn’t use - this should just be standard in each room rather than having to ask.
Great place to stay for a few nights. Nice lush green grass to setup on. Facilities where good and clean. Great place to keep toddlers and kids busy, lots of families to play with, toddler room was the best thing, our 15 month old had a ball. We will definitely be back. Thanks BIG4 goldfields
Very well planned out park. Plenty of play areas for kids, great addition of a low stimulation room for kids with autism, pool well maintained, friendly hosts.
Great amenities.
Friendly staff.
Rooms clean and comfortable
Great family friendly accommodation
Camped here with two kids. Very clean and tidy. Also great swimming pool. The grounds are a bit old and there isn't too much to do with the kids but apart from that it was all good!
We arranged for a family reunion in Ballarat and decided to get all the family to stay at the park, we were given the function room to use, and was perfect for our needs, also the accommodation and amenities in the park were fantastic. All of the staff were very accommodating, friendly and so helpful, thank you for a great weekend:)
Very accommodating and welcoming staff, excellent facilities especially for kids (large playground, under 5s indoor play area, jumping pillow, movie room, TV room, games room and hire of pedal bikes). There's an indoor heated spa for hire in addition to the large outdoor swimming pool. 300m from sovereign hill and close to cbd. Powered and unpowered sites have nice lush grass as well which is great for swags and small children.
Large spacious grounds with well maintained facilities and friendly and experienced staffs. We stayed at their Powered-sites from 14-16th. May, 2019.
Fantastic Park very close to Sovereign Hill. Well maintained park and made very welcome at checkin. Ablutions are always spotless and even has heated floor in the showers. Good sized caravan sites and lots of grass. All up a very nice Park and only a few minutes to town centre.
Our first 'Big 4 experience' and we loved it. The place was so clean and had great facilities. Staff friendly and super helpful. You have set a high standard for the other Big 4 parks to live up to Ballarat Goldfields! Our kids asked when we can come back as soon as we left!
Clean, rooms as advertised and friendly, helpful staff. However because we stayed over the Queens Birthday long weekend, we were charged $720 instead of the regular $425 for three nights. Our accommodation was organised by other people and as such I was left feeling let down as I had expected much, much more for the price we were paying. In hindsight I should have researched the accommodation before arriving. However, it is still an overly extravagant premium to pay for a public holiday weekend.
Had a fabulous stay at Big4 Ballarat over Easter. Lovely clean park, fun things for the kids to do, close proximity to Sovereign Hill and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Will be back again!
En-suite site very small. Park is neat and tidy. Although we found the staff to be quite unfriendly. Check in was scripted and the guy showing us to our site looked and acted bored. After travelling and staying in parks for weeks this one was definitely the most unfriendly one we have stayed.
Very convenient location close to city centre and local attraction Sovereign Hill, great family friendly park, excellent children play areas. Only lacking shaded area at outdoor cooking area.
Its well equipped and usual facilities. Little disappointing witb the size of some sites some very big others very small with no real average. Good over busy periods with activities to do!
