It's hard to know what to rate Betty's given how inconsistent it is. When it's good, it's great and I would give it 5 but when it's bad it's just average and I would give it 3. The best thing and most consistent thing is the staff who are always friendly and helpful. I've been here about a dozen times and notice lately that the bad is increasingly more common. The burgers have soggy buns which is rather unpleasant to eat, the crispy chicken is overcooked which makes it hard and dry. The chips are super salty. We've noticed that it's bad when it's super busy in the evenings and it's good during lunch time. Expect a 5-10 min wait to be seated during busy times. Pricewise you are looking at $50 for two burgers two fries and two beers.

Very good food, as tasty as their looks. Fantastic service, nice environment, centre of Melbourne. It tick ask the boxes without having to pay off the nose. As soon as the clock hit 12, Tthe queue to get in for bigger and bigger off to the road.

Great food and hospitality. I tried mushroom burger and it was one of the best. Very friendly staff. Decide is very light on eye. It looks more warmer than the place actually is. It felt cold in there but nothing that will stop me from going there.

My kids were really happy with the burgers and My wife and I were fairly impressed with the salads. Really good atmosphere inside and great place to take refuge from the 40 degree heat.

They didn’t alert us when the food was ready and as a result we had soggy and cold food. The food itself tasted fine however is absolutely sickening to the stomach kinda makes me want to die. I guess it’s ok overall.

Decent burger, I thought the bacon overpowering the beef patty since there was a lot of bacon and it was very fatty and stringy. Definitely would have been nicer without it. Shakes were tasty and very friendly staff. The cups the tap water comes in were also tiny, gone in one sip, need bigger cups or jugs.

Hamburger was delicious.but staffs were not good for me.because they ask me too many times.for example, add bacon? Add any toppings? Any drink? Water?

Sehr zu empfehlen, tolle Burger mit guten Soßen und kroßen Pommes. Während der Lunch-Zeit kann man auch schonmal ne Viertel Std.warten bis man einen Tisch zugewiesen bekommt, lohnt sich aber!
Achso die Thickshakes sind auch richtig gut.

Food was amazing
Attended to straight away however when asked if we could seat we were directed somewere else that didnt occupy for 6 ppl and had to organise seating.
No kids menu!
Staff need to smile!

These are the best burgers I've had since I came to Australia. I was so accustomed to eating thick American style burgers and I really, really missed that. Betty's burgers is all I wanted and more

Deliciously tender with the freshest of ingredients. Not too oily and just the right portion size. Don't worry about the service, the millenials have got it under control.

Great burgers, very friendly and welcoming staff, at a perfect location. We had the original classic burger, the spicy chicken burger, fries, and onion rings. All burgers and sides exceeded our expectations. But their juicy classic burger was way beyond expectations.

If you are not sure what to order, go ahead and try their melt-in-your-mouth classic burger. Highly recommended, and will definitely go back soon.

That's a really good burger. Added fries (without seasoning) which were still lightly salted.

This is a really busy place at lunch but it's worth stopping in to try it out. I'll be back!

The best burgers I’ve tried so far in Melbourne. Amazing juicy and tasty. Don’t miss the Shroom (mushroom) burger. Its Amaaazing Staff is super friendly.

Popular place, very busy with a varied clientele. Service was friendly and quick, bit the spicy chicken burger I ordered was not particularly spicy. It was crisp and tasty, just not spicy like I expected.

Only tried the original burger but man was it good. Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had! Service was efficient and staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back for more!

Came in had to be wait to be seated, then had to go up and line up to place our orders (took 15 mins to order), then told no thickshakes or dessert! 2 out 3 toilets are out of order, only functional toilet was filthy and not marked with toilet signs AND you have to pay for tomato sauce - mind you this is at 8: 30pm, so can’t imagine what it’d be like during peak! No tap water or jugs on offer either.will definitely not come back!

The burgers and fries were seriously amazing! I will be craving them until the Adelaide branch opens. The decor is really fun and lovely. Minus a star purely because of the rush to order and that the music was just so loud.

Best burgers in Melbourne but the service is what really impresses. Amy was a great help when we ate with a big group on Saturday night, went to a lot of trouble to make sure we were comfortable and didn't have to wait for our food

My partner and I just walked in on impulse. Wonderful atmosphere takes you to another place altogether.and then we had the burger. WOW! Best cheat day ever! We had the Classic & the spicy chicken. Classic was soul filling and spicy chicken was just amazing. Had a vanilla milk shake which the 2 of us shared I liked it but she didn’t. The ice creams have crazy combos if you want to try. A must visit for anyone craving a great burger.
