Best Western Airport Motel & Convention Centre

Located roughly 15 minutes from MEL via free shuttle. You do have to call to request a pick up after you arrive, so it can be an issue if you don’t have a phone available. The shuttle bus is a late model Asian market Toyota 12 passenger van and shuttle driver was on time and courteous. The main office is open 24 hours and the staff is very welcoming.

The buildings are a little dated but great nonetheless. Rooms are large, the bathroom may have been recently updated though my shower did not drain well. Beds are above average. Depending on where your room may be located, it can be anywhere from a 2 to 10 minute walk from main check in office. My check in was 12: 30AM and I had just about the furthest room away (10 minute walk). It was my first time at this property and parking lot lightning was only so-so. Thanks to the girls back at the office for the great map instructions! Shuttle bus to airport (if needed) was punctual.

All around good stay. Can’t say enough good things about the staff! Would come back again.

Great place to stay. Close to the airport, with a courtesy bus - we left our car at the motel while we were on a trip to Perth.
We did have a problem at check-in with our booking having been made for the wrong date; but, the reception staff excelled in the recovery from the issue. We were very impressed with the level of professionalism and general attitude of the staff.

The worst experience ever in a hotel. They have cancelled my reservation 3 hours before I arrive. They say it's booking fault but I've never have had any problem and I travel a lot wirh booking. They didn't offer their pick up service to our new hotel and we must call an uber. I can't belive this has happened to me in Australia

We always stay here when we have to be near Melbourne airport it's always clean the staff are friendly and accommodating the breakfast and dinners are beautifully cooked and presented and a special shout out to the lady at breakfast I can't think of her name so sorry but she's always been there every brekkie we have had we call her our best western mumma cos she always looks after us well over the last few years.

Nice and clean, not far from airport. Shuttle but you need to be able to call, you can not precook online. Also we arrived later in evening no food or drink option as closed at BW and nothing around

The hotel is very nice. The room was lovely and well decorated. The bed was extremely comfy and I didn't hear any outside noise. Breakfast was very nice and there was a good choice

We had a 9 hour delayed flight to Melbourne from Sunshine Coast @ 10: 30 pm Saturday and Best Western had a room available for my family of 4. Thank you Airport Best Western.

Great place to stay near the Tullamarine Airport. For Price, Service, Food Accomodation, Pool for kids etc, & Shuttle service, you could not ask for better services. Would always stay at the West Western,

I was probably just extremely unlucky in arriving late while there was freeway construction taking place, but I was not impressed with how the night staff handled everything in terms of communication. It took about an hour to get from the airport to the hotel, and that was *after* I got on the shuttle bus. One of the receptionists taking the bus booking seemed exhausted by his job and every bit of that translated to his lack of instruction, clarity and care when he took the booking. Then, the shuttle driver and that same receptionist were having a lot of trouble communicating about what was going on, where one of the passengers at the airport was (we never found them, though I don't believe that was the driver's fault), and other ongoing issues - there were probably 5 or so calls from the driver to the hotel and vice versa during the drive. Then, the shuttle bus couldn't get up to speed and sounded as though it was going to give up the ghost several times during the trip, prompting another call to the hotel.

When we finally arrived, the receptionists were low energy and lack-lustre. One of the other passengers demanded to be comped a late checkout time (fair enough, as it was past 1am at this point), and one of the receptionists begrudgingly acquiesced, so I requested the same. So, thank you to Best Western for honoring that and the staff in the morning were much friendlier and more professional overall, but the night staff were not a pleasure to interact with. Even the fact that I was carrying one large bag, two carry-ons and a large container and no one offered to assist me to my room, etc, was surprising to me given the cost of the stay.

The room itself was clean and well-presented and - again - the day staff were professional, otherwise I would be leaving a much lower rating based on the rest of my experience.

Close to Tullamarine Airport. Handy for short layovers or late arrivals into Melbourne. Staff are friendly and helpful, even if you feel a little tired (and grumpy). Hassle free check in and check out process. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Can be a bit of a walk with luggage if you did not arrive with your own transportation. Overall good value. Would stay again.

Excellent position for getting to the airport with courtesy shuttle service and our room was nice and quiet. We always stay here when leaving Melbourne.

Very good experience near Tullamarine airport. The 24 hour free shuttle is really helpful. Got a late night flight cancellation and we got free pick up and then quick responses and good service.

Just what if said on the tin! Nice clean room, well appointed bathroom. Slightly noisy with folk leave in ng for early flights. Just round the corner from the airport.

Good location very close to the airport with airport shuttle available free of charge. The room was very clean. The walls are thin, so you will hear noises from other rooms, and you will be heard by other guests.

Clean, comfy, quiet, nice pool! Only down side was the tiny plastic shampoo/conditioner/milk etc. C'mon guys, it's 2018, time to reduce plastic production. Large size soap/shampoo/condition dispenser on the wall from larger refills/producer, and mini glass bottles for milk.
