Belgrave Fish & Chips reviews
62 Have ordered from here a few times now and every feed has been great. Fish is a generous size as is the chips.
Fridays and Saturdays are usually busy so your best to phone your order in.
Great potato cakes and very good grilled flake.
Service is polite and fast, shop is clean and the prices are very reasonable.
YAY!
Satisfactory. Friendly staff and not too oily food.
We usually order grilled fish. Unfortunately the pieces sold here are very thin - thinner than the potato cakes - and tend to become overcooked while phone orders are being taken. If you like thicker, flakier fish you'll be disappointed.
Great fish and chips, only thing missing is the Mushy pea's being British
Keep up the good work.
Staff are fantastic! Very organised and clean, well priced and have eftpos facility's.
Very community orientated business and phone orders are available.
Bought battered flake, grilled barramundi and chips 7Jun19. Chips and flake good, but the grilled barramundi was mediocre. It was swimming in oil because it is not grilled as claimed but griddled, that is cooked on the hot plate not a grill. I saw the fish on the hot pale being cooked in a sea of oil. The serving staff are very pleasant. Will go there again but avoid any grilled fish.
Absolutely disgusting service every time. Also yelled at my clients with special needs. Very average food. Will not be back. Do not support this business!
Food was good, nothing great or terrible.
Server was sullen and begrudging when asked for additional chicken salt.
Great food and pricing, very busy. Fun watching the tyrannical boss man while you wait. That bloke is vicious, been too long between holidays
Fairly regular customers here and tonight wasn't up to their usual standard. While the batter on the fish was crispy on the outside it was a little raw and gluggly on the inside, plus the scallops and seafood sticks were only warm - not hot. Chips were good though.
Will definitely try again as they're usually better than this and way above the others in the area.
Always get good fish & chips plus they do really nice burgers here too, top place for easy food.
For the price range, this is the best fish and chip shop on this side of Melbourne. It's comparable to Hunky Dory but with decent serving sizes at half the price.
Puts an absurd amount of disgusting cheese on burgers and the dim sims are sub par. Can't go wrong with chips.
My absolute favorite chip shop. The chips are always crispy and the chicken salt is delicious. Consistently providing great chips.
Flake is good and their souva's are great but
I find it's a bit more expensive than other local choices.
Service is friendly too but there's a pretty long wait.
The food is appalling, the so called Staff are ignorant. Grilled fish that was drier than a Nuns C@$t. A Hamburger with raw meat and lettuce on a stale bun. I could’t make this up. I’m surprised that I didn’t throw it up! Next time I won’t be so lazy and continue on to Upwey.
Food was pretty tasty, but a whole piece of fish was forgotten. Pretty long wait too. But my burger was awesome.
Biting into a fish bite that smelled sooo bad I had to immediately spit it out, the taste and smell was TOXIC. The man was very quick to refund my money though! Now I'm waiting to see if I get ill: -/: -/
Our GO TO FRIDAY NIGHT fish and chipper.can't complain about the food, always really really good.they always throw in an extra potato cake or two which is well and truly appreciated.
