My absolute favorite chip shop. The chips are always crispy and the chicken salt is delicious. Consistently providing great chips

Fish and chips really well done. I sometimes go out of my way to buy here rather than my local.

Worst customer service, terrible food and shoddy business practices. Don't waste your time/money on this establishment, they don't deserve to be in business.

First time customer, Fri evening, ordered flake & chips, told it would be about 15 mins, got order in just over 10 mins. Could not fault the order or service. What more can one ask for?

Great quality food, if you get the nice lady it's a good experience but the main man has no customer service skills at all, rude, doesn't respond if you ask how he is or when you say thanks have a good night when leaving, he's also very tight with the salt.if he does the bagging of the food you'll need to put some more salt when you get home
Burgers & just about everything is top notch

Manager was so rude over the phone. My car broke down so unfortunately could not pick up my order. The manager hung up on me. Glad I didn't go there and I won't be in the future.

Paid $8 and Burgers buns were mould.
Unfortunately we realised after eating more than half. We don’t even want to enter the shop again to ask money back. Rubbish.

Never, Ever Again
Limited for choice in our area. Have ordered fish and chips for last 4 weeks. Every single time the fish is way overcooked, batter is dark brown, and the chips have a bitter taste. On at least 3 of the weeks I asked them "please don't over cook the fish, but it happened time and time again. They take the fish out and leave it sitting on the drainer so that when you get home, the fish is almost cold. There is not one smiling face there, the owner's behaviour is ridiculous as he continually abuses his young staff, and all in all an awful experience that I will never repeat again. Shocking!

The chips and potato cakes are hot and crispy. Drinks and other foods are reasonably priced. Service is friendly, a little slow but worthwhile

Its not that i disliked the place the fish n chips & potato cakes were greasey and the batter was hard not crispy fried hard and the burger was just a burger wont be going back sorry but thats my opinion so its up to all of you to decide thank you

Don't come here when it's busy. An online order may take an hour - while other people walk in and get their food in 10 minutes.

Quality is reasonable, but when I was waiting for my order I couldn't help but notice the way that the owner treated his young staff. He was quite mean to them for no apparent reason. It made me uncomfortable and I didn't want to go back.

Best in the area - everything so perfectly done, every time so far, even though they're extra busy during lockdown, still excellent in my experience

If you have a problem with Menulog, It's the drivers and Menulog. The most support They can offer you is to let you pick it up yourself. Don't get angry at them when they can't fix it. Uber Eats works much better as it doesn't queue orders for drivers meaning your food will be picked up and delivered immediately rather than waiting for the driver to finish other orders which is what Menulog does.

Ordered through menulog and 1 hr after my food had been cooked and sitting aside it was delivered. I contacted the store to find out what was happening and they blamed the driver. I asked to cancel my order and refund before my food left their shop and they refused. Disgraceful let alone unhygienic in this day and age.

Has this shop changed hands? The owners are so rude. Haven't been here in a while because the food is much nicer at upwey fish and chip shop. Was walking past and thought I might grab the kids a minimum chips. I asked about minimum eftpos requirements and it was $10 which is fine but the rudeness in which my question was answered was shocking.
Generally the shopkeepers on belgrave main street are lovely and in light of so many businesses closing, you think you would try a bit harder. We won't be going back.

Really nice fish and chips, a little more expressive than some other places near by, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for, they also cook in vegetable oil which is a must for a family.

I understand it gets busy but worth the wait, hot tip if you come on without s phone order your order gets pumped up a little bit

Service was the worst. Over and hour wait and to have walk in people served in front of my order is unforgivable! Too many other places around here to shop at for them to get this rude!

Worst steak sandwich I've ever bought I had one bite and was impossible to chew due to how over cooked and dry the meat was and when asked for my money back the owner was rude and argumentative. It Doesn't take 20 minutes to cook a small piece of steak. I didn't even get my money back.he just walked off so I left the sandwich on his salad bar DONT BOTHER GO TO BELGRAVE SOUTH OR UPWEY
