Belgrave Fish & Chips

Fish was ok but they had lot of salt in the salad
Customer service was worst I should say as the person who was taking the order wasn't listening properly and I had to repeat what I was saying 5 times. They need to start being nice to customers

Came for dinner at 5: 30 on a Friday when the kebab shop down the street was closed.

Staff were rude, staff were sneezing with no gloves and there was no sign of handwashing or sanitizer.

Food looked like it was boiling in dirty oil. Asked for our money back immediately after ordering when told it was a 20-30 minute wait (food not yet cooking) and were basically thrown out after husband and wife had an argument as to how to refund.

Never again

Absolutely awesome food flake amazingly good, crunchy and large portion.
Price was great

Chips were really bland, undercooked.not salted, not crispy. Tasted like frozen chips from supermarket if they haven't been in the oven long enough.

Rude Owner, wish i could give a negative star rating, will never go there again. Food is stale and old. Told me if i want fresh food i should go to a restaurant

I wrote a 4 star review 2 years ago but have edited… we’ve given this place 3 or 4 goes for our usual Friday night fish and chips this year but their quality has slipped right down… soft weird tasting chips… Floury gross oil laden batter… give them a miss… they’ve lost the plot.

Chips. Great chips. The interior is unassuming, but they make the crispiest, crunchiest chips in Belgrave for a very reasonable price.

Most amazing fish, grilled and fried. Dim sims are amazing, again steamed or fried, theyre great.

Chips are awesom, they arent flooded in salt.

The fish is great size too!

Keep ip the great work belgrave fish and chips, there is deffinatly not alot of fish and chip places that do as great as you.

Had a good burger to recharge my batteries. Decent price, decent amount of trimmings and cooked right.

We ordered calamari rings, salad, grilled fish supposedly butter fish, a scallop and salad. The salad was ordinary, probably a day or two old. The calamari rings were not fresh calamari.
I rang to ask about that and was told we were given processed calamari for $1 each compared to fresh calamari for $1.20. When I began to ask further questions the male person hung up.
Give it a miss.

Upwey fish and chips is much better and only 5 minutes drive from Belgrave. The chips at Belgrave are floury and not crispy enough, and the fish etc.is fine but unremarkable.

Probably nothing to do with the owners but the ice cream purchased was weirdly slimy and tasted stale.

And this was the only place in Belgrave that was doing ice creams so understand why the quality.

Good fish and chips, great value for money.
The young workers there are great.
The young man with the curly hair is my favourite, god I wish I had his hair.

The food is decent, and it has a wide range of "things" to buy, what bothers people are the people working.they are rude, and i understand they have a hard job but i dont think telling people to get out of your shop once you get your food is very satisfactory.sure, hinting for people to leave with a "goodbye" is cool but a straight up "get out now" just seems a little.weird? So if you are going here do be prepared.

So so good! We moved out of the area about 2 years ago but will always travel back for the fish and chips! The owners are so so lovely, always happy to see and serve you the gyros pack with salad and chips is a fave. Highly reccomend

This place doesn’t have any customer service at all! They stuffed our order up and the food wasn’t cooked properly, there was hair in our food… we will not order from here again and don’t suggest anyone go here. When we called to speak about our order the lady we spoke to kept yelling at us and said it was fine and right which is a load of rubbish. If I could rate this place 0 stars I would their attitude is disgraceful.

Always friendly and good food if you avoid the sad looking salads. But who goes to a F&C shop for salads?

Best chips and chicken salt I’ve ever had, they never skimp on the salt and the chips are so crispy
