Beechworth Bakery Healesville reviews
59Very mainstream bakery, doesn't have the small country bakery charm, baked goods are good but nothing special, but restaurant is clean and comfortable, prices are decent and staff are extremely friendly and the real highlight.
Even though they were extremely busy Di offered fantastic customer service! She was lovely and just added to the fantastic food on offer. Will be back.
Gotta love a bakery! So many options for lunch plus an awesome selection of yummy cakes.has a huge area to eat in or outside too
Oh my God.amazing food and coffee a must.we travel over an hour just for the food and quality if service.
Always a good road stop. The pies are great, as are the cakes. Doesn’t have a vibe, feels a bit like a 90’s Maccas inside. It will be extremely busy at lunch time as all the people who didn’t make reservations at the local wineries pile in. Parking can be very difficult, best to go into the park via Don Road and walk in over the bridge.
The Beechworth Bakery is very big and spacious inside with booths to sit at, yes, like at Maccas. It really caters for the masses of visitors coming in from Melb, so it's moreso a slightly fast food ambience, rather than a quaint, peaceful country town bakery.
I've been here a number of times and it is pretty consistent with the food quality standards.
They give you one of those buzzer tabs to take which buzzes like scary crazy once your order is ready.
The outdoor wooden seating area is lovely, next to a small running creek. I came in during a summer day which was raining, and the aircon was at full blow, which felt way too cold for me.
I had a Shepard's pie ($6), and a Medium Soy Hot Choc ($5.50).
I feel it'd be great if they offered a bacon, cheese and meat pie, but the Shepard's with a bit of cheese topping was the closest I've been able to buy.
The pie was quite lovely, so was the Hot Choc. Both came as requested as extra hot. Service was quite good.
4/5 Stars.
Took too long to get food. But it was worth it. Nice food and good service. Just too busy - which probably is because of the good food. Pretty good prices too.
Great selection of pies and very tasty. Clean amenities too. Good place to stop for meal. Ample car and motorcycle parking.
Typical bakery but just on a much larger scale. Lots of seating and plenty of parking. Gets very busy on weekends especially at lunch time.
Nice place to stop for a morning coffe and a bite to eat.
There is a lovely outdoor patio area where we could have our doggo with us. Also the sweets looked great and the caramel slice really was! Options for tea is a nice touch where you just buy a cup and then it's unlimited refreshment.
Sandwiches were only made fresh because they had run out of already made, and one sandwich was clearly a few hours old. Was a little disappointed because the bakery had been really talked up by a friend.
I think for these reasons 3 stars is fair.
An absolute delight. If you like sweet things the this is a don't miss kind of a place. It is very busy though. But the wait is 100% worth it
This place has to be one of the bussiest bakeries in Aus, and i can see why. Easily the BEST pies i have ever eaten. Some may say its a little pricey but you honestly get what you pay for. Really friendly staff and ultra cool vibes, it does get a little noisy inside so try and grab a table out on the deck!
We love coming here especially as it's got a very friendly feel. Great food too, can never go past a beesting (or two). Ned Kelly pies are amazing. It's great that there are plenty of car parks around too so it's usually never an issue finding parking.
The 2 coffees we ordered tasted like tea, they were so weak. And the pies and cakes we bought tasted like they were mass produced commercially from some soulless factory. Much rather go to an authentic small locally owned and run bakery in Healesville. Cause the experience at beechworth bakery was so disappointing. Big bakery but very commercial. No reason to go back there again.
What bakery doesn’t have any sausage rolls in Australia? Unbelievable. Coffee great staff good but the pie heater was close to empty and they had NO sausage rolls. As for the rest of the products it certainly can’t be called “Australia’s greatest bakery”.
Top notch grub steak and mushroom pie was awesome. Also the Ned Kelly shortbread was yummo. They need to put prices on there merchandise though.
Same as all the other Beechworth bakeries with great food at good prices except new and spacious location.
The food is average as bakeries go and quite over rated. The food we bought was warm at best and the jam doughnuts must have been yesterdays. + you have to pay extra on public holidays. Unfortunately not worth the trip.
I just wanted that to their credit, the bakery me a full refund and some extra voutchers. Good on them for that. May try this place again one day, because it seems like they do care about their customers. Well done.
Just stopped in for a morning coffee and cake. First day for everyone back to school and it wasn't that busy, but you can see it must get very busy on weekends. Lovely selection of cakes, and coffee is very good. Well worth a stop if you have time on your journey.
