Beechworth Bakery Healesville reviews
59 What can go wrong about a pie. A lot can. But not this place.
Hiking at Healesville, followed by some pies is a summary of a day well spend.
Bakery was crowded to the brink, but Beechworth has always been worth the wait.
Ned Kelly pie is as amazing as the legend himself. Beef pie topped with egg and bacon just hit the spot (pun intended).
Butter chicken pie was already and not too shabby for that matter. Chocolate eclair was sweet but became too sweet when strawberry thickshake was added to the ordered items.
Coffee did take a bit of time but no harm done.
Vanilla slices are always a good Takeaway for home.
Delicious sweet treats and savoury rolls. Haven't tried any of the hot pies or anything yet. Coffee had a long wait time.
The Ned Kelly is a must! Chicken mushroom pie was also quite good. German donut was very stale and coffee was pretty much tasteless.
Great service and great pie. Would highly recommend.
To the negative reviews stating they drove all the way out here just for a pie, what's wrong with you? Pies are great but there is so much beautiful places to go out here. Go for the hiking and landscapes and stay for the pies.
Great pies at great prices. Perfect pit stop when travelling through Healesville with children. There's a beautiful park with great attractions just next door.
I checked in for a coffee on this Easter Friday with a friend of mine.
Because it's a famous place and a public holiday, bit of a waiting.
But still worth waiting, because I had a delicious fresh iclars and a delicious chai latte. Of course there's plenty of space to sit. Can't wait go back again.
Ordered two medium sized coffee's and sat and waited half an hour. After enquiring at the counter it turns out they had given our order to another customer. They then made us two small coffee's. Get your act together.
Should have stuck to pies.omlete toastie was raw spinach, mushroom and holumi cheese with a postage stamp sized dried up omlete on sourdough cooked in toaster. 1/10 score. Beehive cake was dry and too much custard. Noisy as anything as no insulation so lots of echo. Won't be back.
UPDATE.was contacted by the owners with apology and full refund. Excellent customer service.went back to try again and had really good time. So review would now get 5stars
Very disappointed with this Bakery, my in laws were here visiting from South America, wile we were at Healesville Santuary we saw a magazine advertisement about this Bakery and the pictures show different types of bread, we came for that reason and guess what? There was not bread nothing, ok we decided to get Smokey pork pie.nop there was not Smokey pork pie left, they had plenty in the front fridge when I ask about those they told me that they were cold (didn’t even offer to warm them), when I ask if they could warm them up they said it will take 40 minutes really? Is Friday afternoon and you guys don’t even have pie? We had to order something since we were hungry and far away from home.
Very busy! Had lots of variety of cakes! Being 2: 30 most pies were sold out but they were cooking more to keep up with the demand. Purchased beesting, cauliflower pie and creme donut. They were so yummy, I wish I had purchased more. My partner loved his pie. Will be back soon.
Drove over an hour to visit.
Nice place to break for a coffee enroute to Lake Mountain. There's a stream at the back with fish sightings occassionally. Love the country feel up here.
An amazing bakery in a beautiful country town
Great selection of pies, cakes and sandwiches
Tried few different things and everything was very good
Customer Service was top class
Reasonably priced and good typical Australian bakery fare. Make sure you enter the right Beechworth Bakery into your GPS though. We were going to go to Beechworth, but Healseville was nice too I suppose
Always a good experience when I eat here. Love the large variety of things that they have on the menu. Especially like the bottomless cup, free flow coffee and tea, yes please. The pies are awesome too, the pastry is not the best but the fillings are awesome, often very rich and tasty. Especially love the ned Kelly Pie and the beechworth steak and mushroom pie. Absolutely beautiful.
Every time I pass through Healsville I grab a four pack, including two Ned Kellys. Best quality pies in Melbourne
As an American visiting Australia for the first time this was a great place to eat and experience Australian's meat pies. Very tasty.
On my way home from camping the last 4 nights.
Bushman's Pasty very average. My dog loved it and that's who I bought it for. So that's alright.
Chicken pie AMAZING!
Being New year's Day, it's VERY busy, lines to the door.
I thought maybe the nice girl on the register who served me could have been a bit more efficient with a more haste.
Glad I stopped. Definitely full and satisfied now!
One of the better bakeries of this famous franchise with plenty of offerings to catering to most. Reasonable parking available.
Offers a selection of evil bakery delights as per their reputation. Also have pies, sandwiches, biscuits, coffee etc. Lots of seating available, indoors and outdoors. Ample car and motorcycle parking. Toilets are clean.
