Beechworth Bakery Ballarat

My go-to coffee spot wherever a Beechworth Bakery is located. Consistently great coffee and fabulous staff.

The food is good, but it's all priced at about twice its worth. Service was also a little lacking with certain staff members seeming not to care at all which within this industry means a lot.

Had a quick lunch here in between work. Didn't have any pies, so can't really rate any signature dishes.
Had the Spanish focaccia (the exact name eludes me). Not the best, hate to say. The salami was stuffed down one end, as were any jalapenos.
Friendly service and good location, but there are far better places to eat in my opinion.

I have tested Ned Kelly Pie from Beechworth Branch. It is superb and awesome. But i came to Ballarat for the same pie, it is totally opposite. The pie pastries over baked and hard to eat. Feel like overnight food. Taste wise is not compatible to the original branch. Not worth a star. Poor quality control and inconsistent quality. Please dont visit Ballarat branch.

Went there a week ago. Coffee was weak and no froth, chick BLT was cold as in just out of the fridge cold. Never again will I go there

Had not been in a while. Needed something soft after having a tooth out. Savoury Roll did the trick and good for me. Almost better than ice cream. Yummo

Nice environs, good food (especially the lamingtons) and friendly staff. Margie in particular is quite a gem!

Great coffee & sausage roll. Loved our trip to try 2nd bakery on our weekend off. Good size place inside what looks like old bank. Bendigo, Ballarat, nxt 2x weeks time in healsville love trying all the bakery's.

So good egg sandwiches are the best and the pies easy access at rear of building for wheelchairs as well

Not quite what I expected of “Australia’s greatest bakery”. Pie was not great, thick pastry and a pretty bland filling.

Every good bakery will sauce a pie with a squeeze bottle - not a masterfoods sachet.

Coffee was good.

They do great service and staff is friendly too. Great food and drink selection. Amazing pies. Must visit place.

Was taken here for lunch. Cant wait to go back xo Yum. Delicious brocolli cauliflower pie. Another vegetarian option like curried vegetable pie wouldn't go astray. Delicious custard in my beasting though the bun was not traditional beesting bun I felt and it lacked the honey crusted coating but still good. Can't wait to go back. Bottomless cups of tea and coffee for $3.50 - help yourself.

Delicious meat pies and pastie! Friendly an very accommodating staff. Too bad there aren't any snickerdoodles left when we got there.

Beechworth bakery was exactly what you'd expect from a country bakery. We got a couple nice pies and chocolate milk in a fit of nostalgia and they both totally hit the spot. The inside hasn't been updated since about '92, but can't hold it against them. Everything was clean, spickandspan so absolutely no complaints there. Would recommend for your pie fix.

Always know what your getting no matter which one you visit. Great food, quick service & good price. Worth a visit

Cheese and bacon pie is a winner! Finally, bakers who understand filling does not need to consist of 90% pepper. Good service, coffee and cake.

Very good spot for coffee etc.but the noise from the play area is often a "put off". It is good if you are deaf.

Always good food and coffee here but we’ve found the tables are not cleared often enough, when we arrived there was only one small table without any rubbish or cups on them. I actually had to ask if they had staff to clear them, perhaps more staff required

Oh what great pie's they have!
My kids loved the 0.10c 2nd pie deal and even thought it was almost 3pm in the afternoon it was great to see much great tasting food in stock. My only negative comment was that it was difficult to find a clean table as so many of the empty tables had not been cleared for a while, but the food was awesome!
