Whatever you do, do not buy a B&D garage door

Mine it less than 2 years old and has broken down 3 times, all 3 times I have had to pay hundreds of dollars in repairs, for it to just break down again after a few months.

Very poor customer service, they don’t even get back to you at all.

Buy any other brand and save yourself the hassle

Over the years, every time I have contacted B&D it's like talking to a brick wall. I can NEVER get an answer to the most simplest of questions. They can't even tell you the price of a their own new door motor! Every time I have just given up in frustration.

Needed some help about an B+D old roll-up door in my 30 year old house. Bill sent me what must have been an archive manual that I couldn't find on the website because of the age of my door.
Much appreciated!
The door is still working brilliantly after all these years and the service doesn't seem to end. 'On ya! ' from across the pond!

Not a very good ream. The salesman came and measured the cavity and signed it off as being right. When they came to install door they said the salesman did not know what he was talking about. Still no door or any talk of what needs to be done. Not a very professional company. Need to have a closer look who they employ.

With the fear of looking like a salty customer I’ve actually had a terrible time trying to get some doors installed with B&D. To cut a very long story short, I was to get 2 doors installed with them at the start of June. The doors were to be installed in a cavity which was custom made for the rollers to sit into. The front door is in and works really well. The sales rep Arshad gave me the size to make the cavities and even came back to check them prior to plaster going on. Well now one of the cavities is too small and the doors can’t be installed. The sales rep wouldn’t even put his hand up and admit he made a mistake. When he came back to visit site to discuss a solution (2.5 hours late) no apology was given and ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSIBILITY was taken for the mistake even after I asked him about him coming to check everything. He said B&D would not be offering to redo the cavity, and was so extremely rude and arrogant about it all. I’ve honestly never be treated the badly by a company ever. I then needed to escalate the situation to his superiors who apologised and said they would find a solution. We’ll here I am almost 8 weeks after install date and still no rear door. Very very disappointed by this.
Use their products because they’re good but whatever you do don’t buy from them direct or use them for installation. Really bad customer service.

I had a fantastic experience with B&D Garage Doors. I had a large issue with my garage door, had tried many different ways to fix it (including dealing with other companies) and no one was able to help me. Then I called B&D and was on hold barely 30 seconds before a professional and friendly man, named Naz, answered my call and immediately knew how to fix my issue. Only a few minutes later my garage door was completely functional and fixed. I was really impressed with the service I received and I highly recommend anyone who needs assistance with their garage door repairs, contact B&D!

Was very easy to contact B&D doors for a first time service at my home. Good communications and they were flexible with working around my work schedule. They arrived on time and work was finished in the allocated time. Works done were explained to me and also instructions on how to maintain the system as well. Jo saved me lots of money as I needed a new button for my garage door and was going to be charged plenty from another business. JO put up with me from start to finish and was very pleasant this lady should get a pay rise. I asked to speak to her boss and Diana was just as pleasant so if you have the power give both these ladies a pay rise.however give jo more she has great customer service skills and should be paid for it.

My door lifter was not working. B&D arranged a service call. The technicians quickly identified the problem and fixed it. Now my door lifted is running like new. I will definitely be getting B&D back in two years to do my next service.

Jack from B&D service department did an outstanding job!
From the moment he contacted me via phone to arrange an appointment time to the time he finished installating a new motor he was polite and courteous, worked hard and competently and he did the job quickly.
He also took time at the end to set up and explain the use of the remote control.
I was very happy with the service, products and price.

I had the BnD garage door/motor, beam, lock and camera package installed in my new build. The deadlock mechanism doesn't work as intended and if you disconnect that then the garage motor doesn't unlock after a while. You have to remove the controller and reset the motor to back up and running. The camera is ultra slow and the video feed is next to nothing available. I had removed and gave the dead lock to the service person who came last visit and also have disconnected the camera. Had trouble since installed about 18 months ago with all the add ons. If I have to, I'll only get the motor only nothing else. Their customer service is not great either.

I had a problem with my B & D remote hub after a short power failure. I tried to fix/reset the system without any luck and was getting very stressed. So I decided to contact B & D technical department via phone. I spoke to Jo who was extremely polite and very helpful and also said that she will alleviate any stress that I had. Jo walked me through the whole resetting process very easy and precisely. Jo was so knowledgeable with the system and answered all my questions with professionalism. I would like to thank Jo for her help, she's a jem. Cheers

I very rarely post feedback but when someone goes above and beyond, I feel I must respond accordingly. Last night the garage door broke down. My family and I were “stranded” as both cars were in the garage and our commitments the next day were thrown into disarray as we didn’t know exactly when we would next drive them (The next day? The day after?).
I phoned B&D and Elise at HQ must have sensed the desperation in my voice. She was brilliant and arrange for Tania from Perth to contact me. Again I experienced the most amazing customer service from Tania. A few hours later a technician came out and fixed it. I have nothing but praise for the whole B&D team.
