Baxter Tavern & Motel

We went for dinner last night hasn't been for years most on our table had steak which was amazing, 2 of us chicken Aleisha and a veal scallopini wall very good also. Just wanting to know if you have a surcharge on public holidays as I was charged $74.80 for a rib eye steak and a chicken Aleisha

Baxter Tavern has gone down hill in my opinion. Two of use went for dinner and ordered the Caesar Salad which started at $20 then if you wanted something added the price went up. What arrived was something like in an entree bowl looking like it had been made from some packet thing it was not even worth $5! Bread rolls available tasted stale as well. I also noticed some of the good pasta dishes had disappeared from the menu. Wont be going back there unless it can improve.

It was ok, this is a pub I use to frequent. They had a special tonight “pepper steak” 300grams of scotch eye filet roiled in crack pepper and served with pepper sauce. $35 The meat was not eye fillet. To Pieces held together with fat, not median cooked as asked for. If you know anything about eye fillet it has very little fat. Not paying $35 to be duped again

Favourite pub for family gatherings. Has a good selection of reasonably priced food and drinks, lots of tables, and the service is fairly quick

Good cheap and easy good entertainment steaks went about down hill would come More often if they got a better steak can’t go wrong with their pepper sauce tho

Food was nice, prices have gone up a bit. Think they should renovate & update the motel rooms to encourage people to stop in & stay in the area.

Always enjoy the meal at the Baxtern Tavern. Best place for me for a steak always cooked to perfection. My number one for steak

Bit disappointed that as a senior, this Tavern gave only 20% off on the main meal.as a seniors discount. Most pubs have seniors meals for around $14 -$15. Some even cheaper. Food was nice, but there was too much. Would have preferred a smaller meal at a cheaper price.

Everything was yummy especially love the choice of free salad soup and rolls, only thing is we both asked for medium rare steak and it was well done but still nice

Had not been to the baxtern tavern for a while and had heard that the meals were not as good as they used to be. Was pleasantly surprised when i dined there with a friend.

The bistro at Baxter Tavern has lots of charm and character, from its shuttered windows to the vintage artwork and advertisements decorating the walls. The bistro is divided into two rooms so can be separated off for functions. The food is beautifully presented, tasty and plentiful and optional soup and salads are available with all meals. The staff are friendly and helpful and the group I was with thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We will be visiting again!

Major renovation has greatly improved the gaming area. Seem to have some staffing issues. The previous staff were better trained and friendlier

Good meals and the free soup and fresh bread rolls with dinner is a winner, the salad bar is excellent. It's always busy because the locals are on to a good thing here.

We've been going to "The Tav" for many years now and have never had a bad experience.

The friendly staff and the open fireplaces gives this pub a great vibe from the moment you walk in.

The menu is extensive and has something for everyone and the complimentary rolls and soup just top it off.

Make sure you book as it can get busy.

Just discovered the Baxter Tavern, what a great place, the staff are so friendly and helpful, they have a well balanced menu and the prices are very reasonable. The food is of excellent quality and a decent size.
All the other patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves and a it has a great atmosphere.
I'll be back.

Havent been there in thirty years.
Its still pretty much the same, except they didnt have pokies then.
The service was great & the drinks were tasty.
I'll have to try a meal next time.

The food was great, the service was the best. You get get big helpings so remember that when ordering.

Lovely meals and fantastic service from bar staff to waitresses. Would highlyrecommend. We had lunch there and the hotel also has a nice ambience
