Basilico Restaurant Glen Waverley

Really disappointed. Owners were not professional and rude to their own staff. Food was terrible and overpriced for what we got…wouldn’t be surprised if half the food is kept frozen out the back. Felt like one of those disaster restaurants that Gordon Ramsay was about to walk in and try save. Flies were hanging around the food and my partner and I couldn’t get out quicker if we tried. Never again.

6 of us went for tea, our waitress was friendly however the meals came out at staggered intervals which was unacceptable.
My mixed fish grill was served on a cheese board with some kind of printed paper underneath the food which of course deteriorated as I ate leaving me wondering if I was eating the paper along with the seafood?
Don't think we'll be back unfortunately.

The owner brought out a pizza base into the dining area for my little one to make her own pizza and allowed her back to watch it cook in the oven. She was mesmerised. The food was delicious and would definitely recommend. This was my first time coming to the restaurant and I would definitely go back! Wonderful place.

What you expect of a good local Italian restaurant. Hard to fault. Food was great and staff very accommodating of our little one.

Disappointed from start to finish with the customer service. Ordered an online delivery to a hotel, and the staff member I rang to confirm the address was rude. Then it was left at reception with no confirmation of delivery.and was stone cold when I eventually got it.
Apparently, according to Basilico, they are not obliged to let customers know when food is delivered. Might be a nice touch though! #nexttimechoosingubereats

Great place and great food. Loved everything we ordered I highly recommend their Mix Fish Grill, Tagliatelle Carbonara, Bruschetta, their pizzas and Chocolate Pizza!

Staying in an apartment nearby and ordered in a few times.
Food was delicious. Gourmet Pizza, risotto, salads, tiramasu and mousse.
All well presented and yummy. Staff friendly. Very happy customer. Pity I have to leave for the real world of home cooking again

Great quality food, always fresh and tasty. Tonight we enjoyed the Atlantic salmon and mixed seafood grill. Their pizzas are home made and at gourmet class level. For a bit of decadence, try the chocolate pizza for dessert with vanilla ice cream! Eat in or takeaway, always a reliable venue. Our favourite local restaurant in Glen Waverley.

We like their food, which is why we keep on going back. The cooks change, as with any place, so don’t expect the world and you won’t be disappointed.

The restaurant was clean and staff were nice. The food was just okay however for the price we expected better.

Had home delivered Pizza's, they were great only not hot enough, next time will have oven on to warm them up.

My first visit even though I’ve been to this area a lot. Nice ambiance. Waitresses were friendly and helpful. Looks clean. We tried the Capricciosa and Polo. The first one was tasty but the second pizza was a bit wet and blend.

Love the food.staff was patient to explain the stuff on the menu and apologised when food was a little late. Food was delishhhh, portions were generous and service was great. Patron very friendly too

The pizzas are really good. Very authentic Italian pizzas with generous topping and various choice. Pasta and their antipasto are worth trying too. Service could have been better though. While one of the waitresses was super friendly and helpful, the other girl was not. She was, literally, thrown plates unto us, which, to any cultures, would be considered rude. She also was not very gentle when serving the dishes down and thus, spilled some on my parent and walked away without apologies. We probably may have got her in a bad day, nevertheless, was not a good experience to had despite the good food and atmosphere.

Nice tidy restaurant. Good Pizzas. Due to 2 sitting per night, they really clear the tables in advance before the next party comes in.

Friendly staff, fantastic food and affordable prices. The garlic or chilli prawns are very tasty. Have been here a hand full of times and the service and food are ways good. The green owner is also a friendly man.

First COVID-19 family restaurant outing. Great service and food to match. Gnocchi carbonara is soft and fluffy, one of the best pasta dishes we've ever had. Salvatore pizza was okay, could use a bit of heat to it, but made up for it with added chilli on the side. Chicken Parma is nice and thick, without too much batter, but I didn't like the sauce that much, to be honest. Chocolate pizza is divine, very rich. Tiramisu is gorgeous, as is chocolate mousse.

Ordered last nite, carbonara was too dry not a single sauce, didnt provide parmesan for the pasta. Apollo n avocado risotto was undercooked. Quite disappointed
