Basilico Restaurant Glen Waverley

Stumbled upon this cool little place in Mt Waverley. As soon as the food hit the table, we were all eyeing each other's dishes, thinking 'Did I order the right thing? '. After the first few bites, everyone was smiling. The food was spot on and we all said we'd come back to try more. Definitely worth a visit!

Best Pizza, top quality ingredients.

The arancini were a bit mushy but that’s part and parcel of arancini so I now know they’re not for me. They were delicious though.
Come here often and always like it.
Oh and the meatballs and affogato also excellent

By error we booked at the incorrect location. When we arrived they were nice enough to cater for our large group on a busy night.

Cosy restaurant, excellent food, and awesome service! We had the woodfire seafood pizza, which was amazing, and the homemade gnocchi bolognese, the best in town, along with some dessert.
All staff members are happy and polite and care about your experience there.
Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant. Try their gnocchi!

Great pizza, fresh ingredients and a lot of flavour. Lamb Shank was so delicious and my partner had the Gnocchi which he loved.
Good dessert selection to be honest and staff were so nice. Very friendly and happy to serve us. They even shouted us a free liquor shot.

Great Variety of food with heaps of vegetarian, vegan and meat meals, good range of drinks and starters, service is quick. Staff are freindly and the seating is spacious and comfortable. Food tastes amazing! Tables and chairs and clean and hygienic

Food was served hot and delicious. All the Staff were friendly and welcoming to our group. Lovely venue and the atmosphere was great.

Food is tasty and of good quality, just don't understand why my pizza took a full 15 after everyone else (6 people) on the table got their food.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a cabonara with homemade gnocchi and I got gnocchi in a tub of oil (yes, pure oil) with thick pieces of bacon fat with no bacon attached whatsoever. I wish I could post a photo because it’s truely unbelievable that they serve this.

Pizza order was incorrect. They did replace it with a fresh cooked correct pizza, but in their rush, literally tore up mozzarella balls straight from the fridge and placed on top, without returning to the oven. The mozzarella was literally fridge cold.

The rest of the meal and dishes were OK.

Best dough I’ve found in the area (a little more airy/fluffy would be spot on), toppings were tasty (meat lovers, basilico special) a little flop which was not too soggy. Had on Ubereats before and horrible. Ditch the delivery apps and get yourself in store or maybe your experience may be different to mine.

The food here unfortunately is not great! It's ok.but if you are charging $30÷ for a main of pasta it should be amazing not just OK! Got me once but never again

Worst food ever. It was actually unbearable to eat. Pasta tasted like it just came out of the freezer. Chicken salad was disgusting. The chicken was rubber and super dry, croutons were stale and salad was soggy and mushed together. No seasoning on any of their food. Was told this was a great restaurant however after this experience, I will not be coming back here and definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone to come here. This place needs Gordan Ramsay!

Almost everything we had at our table was cold. Bruschetta was average, everything in general was not great with falvours bland and pasta that was undercooked. Drinks are better at a local pub with super cheap alcohols being used at premium prices.

Wait staff were good though and the restaurant was clean.
