I'm not an idiot it's not flake.flake is not bland and tasteless maybe get consumer affairs to taste u liar.there was 7 of us that tasted the flake and no one ate it.so don't lie.

Brought large chips. Sorry to say they were awful. Very dry and extremely dark in colour and tough to chew. Took them back and the server refused to refund. The worst chips we have ever had.

Chips dry, over cooked and flavorless. Fish meat was alright but batter was soggy. Very disappointed.

Great food and service! Highly recommend. Fish tastes great. Dim sims are unreal - best I’ve ever had.

After reading some negative reviews thought that I would post a review myself. Ordered fish bite, dim sim, potato cake and chips. Everything delicious and cooked well. Especially the crunchy chips. I also like the efficient online ordering system. Well done, will be back.

Lots of fun. We did the Mountain course that does have some challenges - a couple of holes will definitely put you ball in the garden if you aren't careful. Easily doable for early primary kids. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Had bad chips.chip shortage or not my belly was deprived of crisp golden potato chips only to get a mcdonalds small serve of chips for like $10.bruh

Wanted to place an order here in person and the guy made and hang gesture shuing me away and just said “online buddy”. Ended up placing an order for half an hour later for it to be cancelled! Will make sure to never visit this place and tell as many people as I can! Useless people.
No way of getting in contact with these people so I don’t know what’s happening with my money!

We we apoligize for anyone whose food has not been up to scratch.

A few points need to be clarified in regard to the 1 star reviews in regard to chips and also ordering online over the past few days.

Online Ordering - unfortunately due to extreme staff shortages we had to make the difficult decision to go online for summer as we need all staff cooking. There was no other choice however the system is easy.and fast for everyone.

Chips- as soon as you enter our online site the first thing you read is about the shortage of chips and the price increase, we cannot afford to carry the price increase therefore the amount of chips you get for the price is alot smaller, this is no fault of ours.
In regard to chip quality we normally use the same brand and size chip, unfortunately at the moment we have to take whatever Is available. If you go into the supermarkets you will see there are no chips on the shelves.
There may be times there are no chips at all as our supplier has no idea when they will have stock.
Those who have posted 1 star reviews in regard to chips maybe take a moment to think how stressful this is for all businesses not just us.

Absolutely shocking service!
Time for you to sell up and give this once great fish & chip shop to a more worthy owner who deserves to be in this iconic part of Barwon heads! On top of your arrogance, you honestly let the street down and make it look tacky. We will never be returning to your so called "online only" "always short staffed" shop, clearly your not a people person at all.

Don’t waste your time. Very disappointing fish and chips. Flake was soggy, chips were undercooked and tasted like the oil hasn’t been changed in months. Premium prices for very average product. Also very disorganised for picking up the orders.

Good fish and chips but order early and wait for the text that it’s ready. We ordered for it to be ready at 6.35 and waited there at the shop for 35 minutes. Pretty disappointed at lack of organisation but at least food was fine.

Spent over $100 dollars on fish and chips. All 5 pieces of Flake ($50) were so tough/hard no one could chew them, let alone eat them. They had to be thrown out. I tried to call the store three times over an hour to provide the feedback before writing this review however unfortunately my calls were left unanswered.

Lovely polite staff, very pleasant to deal with. Had an issue with square payment that was resolved politely and professionally. Great food and overall experience would highly recommend.

Pretty awful, chips were soggy, used bread buns from woolworths not even burger buns. Was way better last year

Had a hamburger with the lot today. Owner recommended Beetroot as well so went with it. The best bloody hamburger I have had in years. Sat outside and enjoyed every bite. Nice bloke too the owner. Will definitely be having another one of those next time I go through. 10 out of 10 in my book.

Customer service poor.
(It did seem assertive at best when we were asked/told to leave store to order on line.)

Understandably short staffed at the moment and under pressure as a result. They are very busy which probably indicates they provide good food when fully staffed.

Not sure about special diet options (as I was to focused on the customer service.)

The person I attended with felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave.

Credit to the owner for reading reviews and responding.

A peanut is a fake nut it is actually a legume and therefore should not even be in the nut category but sneaks in and messes it up for all the real nuts.

Will review again and update.

Long wait time, was told 7-8 minutes and had to go and ask for order after 25+ minutes. Food was only Luke warm. Disappointing for the price.

Avoid.
We paid nearly $40 for one fish burger, one piece of flake, some chips and two potato cakes. It was EXTREMELY average and we only ate some of it because we were starving after a long drive and setting up our fan. A good percentage of our chips were inedible (see photo) and the piece of flake for $10.50 was so small and thin. The $15 burger had some soggy lettuce and a small piece of fish on a roll that might have been fresh a few days ago. An absolute rip-off for really underwhelming food. We will never go back.
